“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

The show kicks off with a video that recaps the events of last week’s RAW. In the opening match, Dean Ambrose lost his WWE United States Championship to Sheamus in a 20-man Battle Royal booked by Triple H. Later in the night, The Shield was told to face The Wyatt Family. The Shield was getting the better of The Wyatt Family when Evolution made their way to the ring to distract them and cause them to lose. Evolution then viciously beat them down.

The Shield address the attack from Evolution last week

Michael Cole, Jerry “The King” Lawler, and JBL welcome us to the show. The Shield is in the center of the ring. Dean Ambrose says you saw something that you don’t see very often last week, and you’re not likely to see it again. Last week, you saw all three of them on their backs. Ambrose says they got the crap kicked out of them, but it’s ok. They might go down, but they don’t stay down. If you keep score, you’ll find that they’re up more than they’re down. Ambrose says they’re standing tall in this ring, and they want Evolution! Seth Rollins takes the microphone, and he wants to make something clear. They are not running from Evolution; they are running to Evolution. If they have any guts, they’ll accept their challenge for a rematch, and they will run through Evolution. When Evolution shows up tonight, they’ll hunt them down. Evolution is good. They’re former world champions and men who have main evented WrestleMania. They’re good. They WERE really good because they’re not the Evolution they once were because they cannot evolve to beat The Shield.

Rollins asks if Roman Reigns has something to say since he’s been pacing in the background. Reigns takes the microphone to a great reception. A week ago, they victimized his brothers. A week ago, they ambushed him, bloodied him, RKO’d him, and Triple Powerbombed him. That made him realize something – “Is that all you got?” If it is, then Evolution has a serious problem. Their brand of justice can be served cold and so slow. They’ll teach Evolution to believe in the concept of Payback and The Shield. For him, personally, he’s going to teach Evolution to believe in him.

The Shield talk in the ring when a limousine appears on the titantron. The driver opens the back door, and Triple H gets out. The Shield quickly leaves the ring and run to the back. Triple H is in the garage with Batista and Randy Orton. Triple H is signing some papers before they begin walking. The Shield then assaults Evolution in the garage. Agents, including Fit Finlay, Joey Mercury, and IRS, along with referees, run to break up the fight. They back The Shield away. The camera then pans around to see Evolution licking their wounds while lying on the floor.

The commentators talk about what just happened. Tonight, we’ll see John Cena team with The Usos to take on The Wyatt Family in a rematch from Friday Night Smackdown.

Rob Van Dam’s music hits, and he makes his way to the ring. His eye is still swollen, but not as bad as last week. He’ll face Jack Swagger, next.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Jack Swagger holding up the sign Zeb Colter had last week. Colter tells everyone to shut up. Last week, he was talking about the most important document since the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence – his deportation list. He was talking about that when the latest member of his list, Adam Rose, interrupted him. Colter says any man who hangs out with a full-grown bunny has questionable morals to be answered to and offers nothing substantial to our society. Colter warns Adam Rose to keep his distance. Colter then has all the Real Americans rise, put their hands over their hearts, and say, “We the people!”

Rob Van Dam vs. Jack Swagger w/ Zeb Colter

The bell rings, and Adam Rose’s music immediately hits. People in all kinds of costumes come out to the stage dancing when Adam Rose appears. Rose and his entourage dance all around the ring as Swagger angrily looks on. Swagger finally turns into a crescent kick from RVD. RVD then hits the Five Star Frog Splash, and Charles Robinson, my favorite referee of all time, counts the pinfall.

Winner by Pinfall: Rob Van Dam
Match Rating: N/A

Adam Rose and his entourage continue to dance at the top of the stage. Michael Cole is seen jumping and dancing at ringside to demonstrate how to do it for JBL.

Paige has been here for six week, which is a hiccup of a second, and she managed to alienate all of them. Alicia says Paige doesn’t fit in, so she might as well get out. Alicia slaps her down and stomps away at her before the referee backs her up. The referee checks on her, and Alicia kicks her some more. Alicia then yells for the referee to ask if Paige is ready. Paige slowly gets to her feet, and she confirms she can go.

The bell rings, and Alicia knees her in the midsection before hitting a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Alicia then picks her up and dumps her out of the ring. Alicia drives her into the ring apron before putting her back in the ring for a two count. Alicia stomps her before wrenching the arm and elbowing her in the head. Paige then counters into a modified rolling back suplex for the win out of nowhere.

Alicia Fox flips out at ringside and grabs a can of soda from the commentary table and shaking it up. Alicia yells that she is “championship material” and should be Diva’s Champion. Alicia yells at a fan at ringside before slapping one of the technicians. She then steals JBL’s hat and leaves the ring.

A video airs that showcases what happened last week on RAW with Daniel Bryan, Brie Bella, and Kane. Bryan was forced to stay in the arena and face Alberto Del Rio, which he successfully did. Bryan and Brie then ran to the garage to get out of the arena after the ring posts exploded with fire. The car wouldn’t start, so Bryan quickly fixed the issue. Kane was then revealed to be in the car with Brie. Bryan brawled with him before driving off with Kane on the roof of the car. Kane fell off and sat up.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan address the attack by Kane

Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring to a tremendous reception. Bryan stands in the center of the ring, and the crowd loudly cheers him before starting a huge “YES” chant. Bryan thanks them because it’s been a long road to get right here. From the moment he won the WWE Title last year at Summerslam from John Cena, the thirty seconds before Randy Orton cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, he knew this would be an uphill battle. A “NO” chant breaks out. Bryan says this is what it feels like to be John Cena before laughing. The Authority has thrown everything they have at him, but somehow, someway because of everyone here and at home, they beat the odds, and he walked out of WrestleMania XXX as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

As the champion, you have a huge target on your back. When he got back from his honeymoon, he got the worst beating of his life. Kane came out and gave him three Tombstone Piledrivers at ringside. Due to that, he was in a neck brace, but he was determined to beat Kane. At Extreme Rules, he did just that. However, that came with a price. His entire style comes at a price. He thinks the reason the people love him so much is that he pays the price with his body. Unfortunately, he also has to pay the price this week with neck surgery. This Thursday, he has to go for neck surgery. He’s not happy about this, as this has been his dream ever since he was a little kid. What is frustrating is that there are people who are really happy about it, such as Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, and Kane. To them, his career is pretty much done. A big “NO” chant breaks out. There is a chance that it could be, but it won’t be. When will he come back? He has no idea. However, everyone knows the answer to this question: will he come back? YES! YES! YES!

The commentators talk about the announcement Bryan just made. JBL talks from his personal experiences of dealing with injury. There is no timetable for Bryan’s return.
