"Yes, sir, we promised you a great main event..." The WWE video leads us into the show.
The Smackdown video plays and we're brought in to the arena with some pyrotechnics. We're across the border in Canada. Todd Grisham, Matt Striker, and Michael Cole welcome us to the show. Tonight's main event will be Champion vs. Champion, as the WWE Champion Randy Orton will take on the World Heavyweight Champion Kane.
Smackdown's General Manager Theodore Long is in the ring with Team Raw standing across from Team Smackdown. The new and improved Bragging Rights Trophy is in the ring. Long goes over the match at Bragging Rights and says it'll be an elimination match. That's funny because last week they were talking about how there are no eliminations... Get your story straight! Long says he won't be making the matches – the superstars will do that.
The Miz, Team Raw's Captain, says Long should thank him and the members of Team Raw for coming to the "B-side". Miz says he's already proven his superiority over Big Show so they'll have a six-man tag team match. It'll be The Miz, Ezekiel Jackson, and Sheamus. Big Show says that doesn't surprise him. Miz is hiding behind two powerhouses just like he did when they were a tag team. Big Show asks if he still wets the bed. Big Show announces his team tonight will be Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio.
Edge takes the microphone and says since they're able to make the matches he wants to be in action, too. He wants a one-on-one match against the most obnoxious, condescending, self-righteous, sanctimonious superstar on any brand. Edge wants to take on CM Punk.
John Morrison challenges Alberto Del Rio to a match as well. Morrison made some lame jokes before getting to that challenge. Morrison is atrocious on the mic. Jack Swagger grabs the microphone and says he wants to take on the superstar with the worst finisher since the Sharpshooter (big heat in Canada). Swagger wants to take on Santino Marella. Long takes the microphone and says the six-man tag starts right now!Six-Man Tag Team Match
The Miz, Ezekiel Jackson & Sheamus vs. Big Show, Rey Mysterio & Kofi Kingston
Charles Robinson, my favorite referee ever, is in charge of this match. Rey Mysterio starts out against Sheamus. They circle the ring and Sheamus kicks him. Sheamus powers him to the top rope and shows his dominance. Sheamus misses a clothesline and Mysterio uses his speed to connect with a diving hurricanrana. Mysterio goes into the ropes and Sheamus hits a quick shoulder block. Sheamus hits a short-arm clothesline and clubs his chest for a two count. Sheamus sends him to the ropes but Mysterio slides through his legs. Sheamus quickly counters with some elbows and a two count. Sheamus sends Mysterio to the ropes but lowers his head and eats a kick.
Kofi Kingston is tagged in and he hits a springboard cross-body block for a two count. Kingston hits some nice kicks. Sheamus responds with some power and scares Mysterio off the apron. Kingston counters a body slam but has a whip reversed on him. Kingston hangs on the ropes so Sheamus charges and Kingston pulls the top rope down. Sheamus gets up on the outside and Mysterio takes him out with a seated senton. Team Raw helps Sheamus recover as we go to break.
We come back from the break to see Kingston duck Ezekiel Jackson's clothesline and kick away. Jackson reverses a whip to the corner but runs into a pendulum kick. The Miz tries to distract Kingston but gets dropkicked off the apron. Kingston springboards off the top rope into a clothesline. Jackson gets a two count. Jackson punches him in the corner and chokes him. The Miz is tagged in and he kicks Kingston as Jackson holds him. The Miz chokes Kingston on the rope and Sheamus gets a cheap shot in as well. Kingston comes back with some punches but can't get the tag as The Miz blocks him. Miz powers him to his corner and tags in Sheamus.
Sheamus hits a short-arm forearm shiver for a two count. Sheamus stretches him out with a chin lock but Kingston fights up and punches. Sheamus knees him but has a short-arm clothesline countered into a neckbreaker. The Miz tries to stop Kingston from making the tag but he gets kicked away.
Big Show is tagged in and he hits Miz with a pair of clotheslines. Big Show sends him to the ropes and pulls off a ridiculously high back body drop. Sheamus runs in and meets the same fate. Mysterio immediately follows up with a seated senton on Sheamus and walks right into a gorilla press by Jackson. Big Show kicks Jackson before he can do anything. The Miz jumps into a Chokeslam from Big Show and Mysterio is tagged in. Mysterio gets on Big Show's shoulders and hits a body splash on The Miz for the win!Winners by Pinfall: Big Show, Rey Mysterio & Kofi Kingston

Tonight Randy Orton will take on Kane in a Champion vs. Champion match.
The Smackdown announcing team talks about the WWE Championship Match at Bragging Rights. They then go into a recap of the past few weeks since John Cena joined the Nexus.
Josh Mathews is backstage with WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and Smackdown's Official Consultant Vickie Guerrero. Mathews asks about Daniel Bryan's challenge from Monday. Ziggler says he was jumped from behind on Monday. He also thought a fan stumbled into the ring wearing his dad's underwear and grandfather's beard. Ziggler says Bryan is like a high school team facing the Super Bowl Champions. Daniel Bryan has nothing to protect him when he crushes him at Bragging Rights.
Jack Swagger comes out with the Swagger Soaring Eagle for his match against Santino Marella. That match is next.
-Commercial BreakJack Swagger w/ The Swagger Soaring Eagle vs. Santino Marella
Marella jumps across the ring and talks a little smack. Santino fakes a lock up before going for a takedown. Needless to say that doesn't work. Swagger takes him down with a sloppy belly-to-belly suplex. Swagger then rolls Santino around the ring for a bit before Santino rolls out of the ring. The Swagger Soaring Eagle starts sneaking up to attack but Hornswoggle, Smackdown's official mascot, keeps him at bay.
In the ring they get into a shoving match. Santino hits an arm bar and applies a chin lock. Swagger shoves him off and clotheslines him in the corner. Swagger throws Santino out of the ring and Hornswoggle again keeps the eagle at bay. Santino and Hornswoggle duck a clothesline. Santino hits the Eagle with the Cobra and Hornswoggle hits the Tadpole Splash from off the ring steps.
Santino gets in the ring and hits some jabs. Santino splits under a clothesline and hits a hip toss. Santino hits a diving head-butt for a near fall. Santino again goes for the Cobra but his theatrics waste too much time as Swagger traps him in the Ankle Lock for the win.Winner by Submission: Jack Swagger

Alberto Del Rio will take on John Morrison next.
"Dashing" Cody Rhodes is back with another tip to keep us positively dashing. Rhodes says dried up lips are nasty so wear lip balm and lip gloss.
Ricardo Rodriguez is in the ring to introduce Alberto Del Rio, who has, for my money, the best entrance music in all of wrestling. Del Rio drives into the arena in a nice Mercedes. That's an awesome car.Alberto Del Rio vs. John Morrison
The Goose, Mr. V's favorite referee, is the official for the match. They circle the ring and lock up. Del Rio powers him to the corner and is backed up. Natalya takes Layla down and rips off the goatee that embarrasses her father. Don't worry Natalya; he does a good enough job on his own embarrassing himself.

They run the "Stand Up For WWE" video.
Kane makes his way to the ring with his father Paul Bearer, who has the urn with him. Does that mean Kane's mother is also ringside with him, if she's the one who is in the urn? Kane will take on Randy Orton next.

Edge vs. CM Punk ** 1/4 Mike's Thoughts
Well, after watching my New York Yankees get thoroughly beaten by the Texas Rangers tonight (congrats to Texas), I really needed this show to come through and boost my spirits. While it didn't make me feel totally better after watching 171 games only for it to end in disappointment, it perked me up a little bit.
I really appreciate the effort they're putting into promote Bragging Rights, which is this Sunday. Unfortunately, like most WWE PPVs, there just isn't enough time to get emotionally invested in this match, or any match really. Besides, the lines that separate the two brands are so blurred, with guys going back and forth, showing up on the shows all the time for no rhyme or reason, that the idea of brand supremacy seems a little stupid. Still, this is probably the best promotion they've had for any event since Summerslam. They really do seem like they're trying. I'm not sure if this will translate into buys for the event this Sunday but it's things like this that will help the overall product in the long run.
The Undertaker vs. Kane storyline certainly has fizzled since Hell in a Cell. The Undertaker pulling him under the ring was hokey to say the least. That was awesome back in 1996 when he did it to Diesel (that legit gave my friend nightmares for a few days) but now it's silly. The feud was red hot in the beginning when it was based on their history but now they're just going way too gimmicky for my liking. It'll probably all be over this Sunday, unless they really want to stretch it to Survivor Series, so Undertaker can win the title at his twentieth anniversary with WWE.Final Rating: ***
