“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

The show kicks off with a video highlighting the events from Monday Night RAW with John Cena. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon said Cena would be entered into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match if he could beat Kane in a Stretcher Match. Despite interference from Seth Rollins and Randy Orton, a timely assist from Dean Ambrose allowed Cena to defeat Kane and be entered into the match.

The Smackdown video plays, and we’re brought into the arena. Michael Cole and JBL welcome us to the show. Tonight’s main event will see Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, Alberto Del Rio, and Randy Orton face John Cena, Roman Reigns, and Sheamus. All seven men are involved in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match.

John Cena’s music hits, and he makes his way down to the ring. Cena welcomes the crowd to Smackdown before talking about the energy in the building. Cena points to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship hanging above the ring. Cena says they are a symbol of excellence in WWE, but some people may be asking why. Why is his favorite color suddenly neon green? Why does he say, “You Can’t See Me?” when it’s obviously visual irony? Why is the championship hanging above the ring? Cena says it’s a long story, but he is here to bring us up to speed. Cena takes a deep breath, and he runs through all of the issues with the title from the last six months. First a fast counting referee got it held up in abeyance, then a superkicking referee that gave it to Randy Orton, then a one-time attraction was made to unify the titles and crown a face of the company, then Batista came back and became Boo-tista before becoming Blue-tista, and then Daniel Bryan won it before becoming injured. Now The Authority is putting them in the meat grinder, and they’re heading to Money in the Bank to determine the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion in a ladder match.

Cena says if you look at the people in the match, it’s like the start of a bad joke. “So a Mexican, an Irishman, an uber-European, a Duck Dynasty reject, a prima donna, a security guard, and Dudley Do-Right walk into a WWE ring… that’s where the comedy stops. I’ll save you the punch line and just tell you that I’m gonna put every one of them in a line and punch them.” Cena says he’s walking into Money in the Bank, walking up the ladder to victory, and walking out proudly saying, “The Champ is here!”

Alberto Del Rio’s music hits, and he makes his way to the stage. Del Rio says Cena should spend less time talking and more time worrying about him. Del Rio says he was the first one to qualify for this match, and he’ll be the first one climbing the ladder to win the title. Del Rio gets in the ring and says Cena may not remember how dangerous he is, but he’ll make him remember once he’s standing over him as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Sheamus’ music hits, and he says no one has forgotten about how dangerous Del Rio is. The people just don’t give a damn about what he has to say. He sees a lot of formidable opponents in the ring because it is every man for himself at Money in the Bank, but the biggest challenge is neither of them. It’s him trying to figure out how to bring those titles through airport security every week because when the match is over, he’ll be the United States AND WWE World Heavyweight Champion, fella!

Cesaro’s music hits, and he makes his way to the ring with Paul Heyman. Heyman says his name before saying he’s sure everyone shares his enthusiasm over the fact that for the very first time ever at the Money in the Bank PPV, the WWE World Heavyweight Title will be decided in a championship ladder match, a match where you are absolutely, positively guaranteed a brand new champion. It’s also a match where he absolutely, positively guarantees none of the men in the ring will win. This is every man for himself, which his client likes. There’s only one competitor in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship that has a full time strategist in his corner. He doesn’t need to strategize for his client to win – he’s strategizing against them to ensure they lose. His strategy led to a history making moment when his client, Brock Lesnar, conquered the Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania. His strategy will lead to a brand new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Money in the Bank, and his name is Cesaro!

Roman Reigns’ music hits, and he makes his way to the ring through the crowd. Reigns says ever since Seth Rollins stabbed him in the back, he’s had a lot of trouble trusting people these days. The only thing that matters now is that, and he points to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship hanging above the ring. He doesn’t care how many there are, and he doesn’t care who you think you are (Reigns turns and faces John Cena), there’s not a man in this ring that is going to stop him now. Reigns and Cena have a stare down, and Cena removes his shirt to prepare for a possible fight.

Randy Orton’s music hits, and he comes out to the stage. Orton says Reigns has finally learned that you can’t trust anyone in the WWE. Orton sarcastically congratulates him. Orton tells them not to forget that he’s the face of the WWE. In fact, the company was at an all-time high when he was champion. For Reigns to tell everyone that he’s going to run through everyone in the ring, he’s not in the ring, and Reigns isn’t going to run through him. As a matter of fact, the titles are coming home with him. Reigns gets out of the ring, and he brawls around the stage with Orton.

In the ring, a fight breaks out with the remaining men. Cena throws Del Rio out of the ring, and Sheamus does the same to Cesaro. Reigns and Orton brawl to the back. Cena’s music hits to end the segment.

Dean Ambrose will take on Kane later tonight.

Replays are shown from WWE Main Event when Dean Ambrose attacked Rollins. Kane tried to make the save, but Ambrose dropkicked him off the apron. Seth Rollins vs. Kofi Kingston

Before the match begins, a pre-taped promo is aired from Kingston. Kingston says when people think of him, they think of spectacular moments, especially when it comes to Money in the Bank. Match Rating: 3/4 *

Seth Rollins takes a microphone. Rollins begins to talk about how he is the first entrant into the Money in the Bank Contract match, but Dean Ambrose interrupts him on the titantron. Ambrose tells him to listen and not speak. Ambrose tells Rollins to be on his toes because every time he steps in the ring, hears the bell ring, or steps out from behind the curtain, he wants him to wonder if that night is the night he’ll get even with him. It could be any night, but it is going to happen. Rollins says it’s a shame Ambrose has to battle Kane tonight because he’d love for him to come out and kick his teeth down his throat. Ambrose calmly says, “Shut up. Don’t do that. I don’t buy that. Just don’t.” Ambrose says when he’s done with Kane tonight, he’s going to focus all of his energy on Rollins. Rollins and Kane will have plenty to talk about when he sends them both back to where they belong – Hell.

-Commercial Break-

Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett

Before the match begins, Barrett says he’s afraid that he has some bad news. He has every intention of winning the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, so he supposes you can say the other competitors in that match are like the United States of America’s men’s football team at the World Cup. They might have developed certain dreams and aspirations after beating a team like Ghana, but in reality, they’ll be destroyed and eliminated by him.

The Wyatt Family’s video cuts into the screen. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are seen with their heads tilted before Bray Wyatt comes into the frame. Wyatt says the nature of a man has always fascinated him. Look at everyone running around like blind mice chasing after a piece of cheese. What happens when a snake enters the maze? He’ll play their childish games for now, but let it be known that he is the king and the designer of chaos. He decides who does what and where they do it. He deals the cards. The world spins on an axis above his jagged teeth. When he clamps down, believe him the world will shake. At Money in the Bank, he will put an end to this childlike charade. All he has to do is climb up that ladder and take what is his. We’ve exited the laws of reality. Now it’s time to enter the Era of Wyatt. Wyatt looks into the camera and says, “Run.”
