“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

We’re quickly brought into the arena to see the lights flashing on the Steel Cage hanging above the ring.  Tom Phillips, Michael Cole, and JBL welcome us to the show as the cage slowly lowers over the ring.

WWE Tag Team Championships – Steel Cage Match
Jimmy and Jey Uso vs. Gold and Stardust (c’s)

After the two teams enter the cage, Eden does the official announcements to give it a big match feel.  The commentators are putting the match over big and wondering when the last time a show kicked off with a championship cage match.

The bell rings, and it will be Jey Uso and Stardust starting the match.  Tornado tag rules are not in effect in this cage match.  Stardust rolls toward the door, and Jey quickly grabs him before chopping his chest in the corner.  Jey reverses a whip to the opposite corner, and he punches Stardust down.  Stardust avoids having his face slammed into the cage, and he quickly tags in his brother, Goldust.  Jimmy Uso comes into the ring, and we have a standoff.  The Usos scream at them before order resumes.  Goldust kicks Jey in the midsection before putting him in the corner.  Goldust chops the chest a few times before having a whip to the corner reversed on him.  Goldust quickly pops out of the corner, and Jey gives him a back body drop.  Jey shoulders him in his corner as Jimmy tags in.  Jimmy splashes him in the corner before chopping him down.  Jimmy goes for what appears to be a front flip leg drop, but he lands with his torso on Goldust’s face for a two count.  Jimmy goes to an arm bar, but Goldust fights up.  Jimmy reverses a whip into the ropes, but Goldust uppercuts him.  Jimmy blocks a shot into the wall of the cage and instead slams Goldust off it for a two count.  Jimmy reapplies an arm bar, but Goldust fights up.  Jimmy ducks a pair of clotheslines before Goldust ducks a running cross-body, which sends Jimmy face first into the steel cage.  Jimmy then stumbles into a clothesline that turns him inside out.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Stardust slamming Jimmy’s head off the wall of the cage a bunch of times before tagging Goldust in.  Goldust rakes Jimmy’s forehead against the cage wall before tossing him face first into another wall for a two count.  Goldust admonishes the referee for what he thought was a slow count.  Goldust applies a chin lock, but Jimmy soon fights up.  Goldust goes for a flapjack into the cage, but Jimmy hangs on and kicks him away before attempting to scale to the top.  Goldust quickly pulls him down and catches him with an electric chair drop for a two count.  Goldust reapplies a chin lock, but Jimmy begins fighting up.  Goldust quickly hits him and props him up on the top rope.  Goldust joins him at the top rope and goes for a super back suplex, but Jimmy blocks it and slams him off the metal bars at the top of the cage to knock him down.  Jimmy then takes him out with a corkscrew senton!

Jey and Stardust are tagged in.  Jey ducks a clothesline and hits a pair of his own.  Jey kicks him in the midsection and connects with an uppercut before hitting a Samoan Drop.  Jey gets the crowd going before trying for a running hip bump, but Goldust cuts him off.  Jey slams Goldust into the wall of the cage, and he is down in the corner opposite his brother.  Jey then goes for a pair of running hip bumps.  Jey connects on Goldust, but Stardust rolls him up for a two count.  Jey goes for a Samoan Drop on Stardust, but he gets out and goes for a neckbreaker.  Jey counters that, shoves him into the ropes, and connects with a big superkick, but Goldust breaks up the pinfall.  Jimmy charges him, but Goldust sends him into the wall of the cage.  Jey catches Goldust with a superkick.  Stardust then gives Jey the Cross Rhodes for a near fall!  Stardust cannot believe it.

Stardust stumbles to the corner and begins to climb the cage.  Jey grabs his ankle and pulls Stardust down.  On the opposite corner of the ring, Goldust kicks Jimmy.  Goldust goes to the top rope, but Jimmy crotches him.  Jey head-butts Stardust off the top rope.  Jimmy then connects with a superplex on Goldust before Jey immediately follows up with a splash.  Goldust isn’t the legal man, though.  Stardust then quickly rolls Jey up for the win!

Winners and still WWE Tag Team Champions: Gold and Stardust
Match Rating: ** 1/2

Christian returns with The Peep Show with special guest Dean Ambrose.  Coming up next, we’ll take a look at Randy Orton’s battle with The Authority from Monday Night RAW.

-Commercial Break-

The commentators do a hard sell for the free month of the WWE Network, which includes getting Survivor Series for free.

The RAW Rebound showcases the return of Mr. McMahon to announce that if Team Authority loses at Survivor Series, they will no longer be in power.  The rest of RAW consisted of The Authority trying to construct their Survivor Series team.  Randy Orton caused problems throughout the night by giving Seth Rollins an RKO.  In the main event, Rollins defeated Orton.  Orton was supposed to shake hands with Rollins and put it behind them, but Orton instead gave him another RKO.  Triple H tried to talk some sense into Orton, but he was punched down.  The Authority then viciously attacked Orton.  Rollins finished it off by giving Orton a Curb Stomp on the commentary table and then the steel steps.  Orton was left unconscious and bleeding.

Kane addresses The Authority’s attack on Randy Orton

Kane is standing in the middle of the ring.  Kane says on this past Monday’s RAW, The Authority made its most difficult decision.  With Survivor Series looming and the very fate of The Authority hanging in the balance, they needed to decide on how to handle Randy Orton.  No one could question Orton’s ability.  It was a question of where his loyalties lied.  Kane says Orton should serve as an example because if they’ll do that to one of their own, imagine what happens to everybody else.  You’re either on Team Authority or against them.  The battle lines have been drawn.  Kane warns everyone to choose wisely.

Dolph Ziggler was offered an opportunity to have the world.  Instead, he chose the fans’ admiration and adulation.  Ziggler thinks he can survive if he aligns himself with Team Cena.  Kane wants to see if Ziggler can survive tonight against him.  Since there is already one hanging above him, they should do it in a Steel Cage.  Moving on, Team Authority now has an open position available.  At this time, he’d like to call out a potential recruit.  This man has shown everything they are looking for.

Cesaro’s music hits, and he comes out to the stage.  Kane looks confused.  Cesaro says this man (meaning him) has shown the ability to survive anything and everything WWE has thrown at him.  The battle lines have been drawn and the fate of the WWE Universe lies in the balance.  If Kane is looking for someone to join Team Authority that can swing John Cena like a rag doll, Cesaro is his man.  Kane says he wasn’t the superstar he expected out here, but if he is intent on proving himself, he can face the superstar he was interested in seeing in action.  That match is now.

Ryback’s music hits, and he comes out to a great reception from the crowd.  He’ll face Cesaro, next.

-Commercial Break-

Cesaro vs. Ryback

We join the match in progress as we see Ryback fighting up from a chin lock.  Kane is seen watching from ringside.  Ryback hits the ropes, but Cesaro big boots him down for a one count.  Cesaro hits some crossfaces before reapplying the chin lock.  Ryback tries to roll out of it, but Cesaro keeps it applied.  Ryback eventually fights up, but Cesaro hits him with a snapmare and a low dropkick to the face.  Cesaro points at Kane and wants him to be impressed.  Cesaro punches Ryback in the corner and hits a snap suplex for a two count.  Cesaro goes back to the chin lock, but Ryback powers up and backs him to the corner.  Cesaro jumps on his back, and Ryback slams him into the turnbuckle.  Ryback finally pulls him off.

Ryback connects with a spinebuster, and he gets the crowd going.  Ryback connects with a meat hook clothesline before signaling for the end.  Ryback goes for Shell Shocked, but Cesaro slides off.  Cesaro sidesteps him, and Ryback hits the ring post shoulder first.  Cesaro big boots Ryback down before connecting with a top rope elbow drop for a near fall.  Cesaro punches away at Ryback before attempting a suplex, but Ryback blocks it.  Ryback goes for a suplex, but Cesaro knees him in the head a few times.  Ryback shakes it off and transitions the suplex into Shell Shocked for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Ryback
Match Rating: * 1/4

Kane rises from his seat and gives Ryback a standing ovation.  Ryback celebrates in the ring a little bit before leaving the ring as Kane was getting in.

Kane will face Dolph Ziggler in a non-title Steel Cage match in tonight’s main event.

-Commercial Break-

The commentators talk about how R-Truth told Adam Rose last week on Smackdown that the Bunny was upstaging him.

R-Truth vs. Adam Rose

R-Truth shouts to the crowd, “What’s up,” and they respond in kind.  Adam Rose tries it, and he gets booed.  They lock up, and R-Truth applies a side headlock.  Rose whips him off, but R-Truth shoulder blocks him down.  R-Truth hits the ropes and avoids a leapfrog before mimicking the Bunny.  R-Truth dances some more before Rose sends him into the ropes.  Rose jumps into his arms, and R-Truth throws him down.  The Bunny gets on the apron and twerks.  I cannot believe I just wrote that.  Rose takes exception to The Bunny on the apron, and R-Truth rolls him up for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: R-Truth
Match Rating: 1/4 *

Adam Rose goes outside the ring and looks at The Bunny, who looks sad about the match outcome.  Rose then viciously shoves him down and angrily stares at the crowd.  The Rosebuds look taken aback by what just happened.  Rose gets them dancing again and turns around to see The Bunny getting back up.  The Bunny turns his head away from Rose and stays behind as Rose dances off with the Rosebuds.

Christian returns to host The Peep Show with special guest Dean Ambrose, next.

-Commercial Break-

The Peep Show with special guest Dean Ambrose

Eden introduces Christian back to Smackdown, and he comes out to a decent reception.  The ring is decorated with The Peep Show’s set pieces.  Christian says, “Well just when you least expect it, Captain Charisma shows up looking for one more… episode of ‘The Peep Show.'”  Christian says he has a lot of peeps in Albany.  A lot of wild things have been happening, like when Mr. McMahon announced on RAW that Team Authority will be out of power if they lose at Survivor Series.  Christian wants to poll the crowd on which team will win.  Team Authority for the win gets a lot of boos while Team Cena winning gets a positive reception.  Christian goes on to say something else…

…but he’s interrupted by Dean Ambrose’s music.  Ambrose makes his way to the ring as a video recaps the events of Hell in a Cell.  Ambrose had Rollins beat, but Bray Wyatt interfered to cost him the match.  Christian says his guest doesn’t like to wait for an introduction.  Ambrose gets a nice hand from the crowd.  Christian says the last time he saw Ambrose, he was running with The Shield and making a lot of enemies, including himself.  Christian asks what it’s like to be Ambrose right now.  Ambrose says its a “real bowl of cherries” as he doesn’t have any friends and has enemies around every corner.

Christian mentions that Bray Wyatt seems to be an enemy of his.  Wyatt did cost Ambrose his match at Hell in a Cell against Rollins.  The question is why did he do it.  Ambrose tells Christian to tell him why Wyatt did it since he’s been in the business so long.  Why does anybody go after anybody.  Usually it’s because they have something the other person wants to take away.  Ambrose says he doesn’t have anything to take away.  Ambrose thinks Wyatt likes playing mind games with people who can’t handle the volume being turned up.  Wyatt preys on weak minded people.  Ambrose says his mind is a very dangerous place to be.  Wyatt says he knows him.  No one really knows him.  Ambrose can play games, too.  Ambrose says he does this because it’s fun.  He likes danger and gets a thrill from pulling his broken body up and throwing more punches.  Ambrose says he’s not afraid to go down a dark alley with Bray Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt’s video cuts in, and the lights go out.  Wyatt comes out holding a lantern that is smoking.  Wyatt sits in a rocking chair at the top of the stage and blows the lantern out.  Wyatt says Ambrose has nothing to fear because he has nothing to lose.  There was a time when Ambrose did have something to fight for.  It was a time when he had safety and security with The Shield.  What happened?  That love was ripped from Ambrose and the security was taken away.  Ambrose is a fish out of water gasping for air.  Wyatt laughs.  Wyatt asks if Ambrose knows who he is and does.  Wyatt says he heals.  He healed Erick Rowan and Luke Harper.  Wyatt can fix Ambrose and make it all go away.  Salvation is not for everyone.  He once offered his hand to Daniel Bryan, and he defied him.  Bryan is nowhere to be seen.  Ambrose can be fixed.  What does he have to lose?  Ambrose’s own father turned his back on him.  Does his father still send postcards from prison?  Wyatt tells Ambrose to tell him he’s wrong.

Ambrose leaves the ring and begins walking up the ramp to attack Wyatt when the Wyatt video flashes and the lights go out.  When they come back on, the rocking chair is empty.  The camera pans over to see Wyatt psychotically breathing behind Ambrose before screaming, “Run!”  Ambrose turns, and the lights go out again.  When the come back on, Ambrose is alone.  Wyatt’s laughter fills the arena as Ambrose anxiously looks around for him.

The vignette for Xavier Woods airs.  It’s a new day.

Footage is shown of Rusev defeating Sheamus after RAW to become the new WWE United States Champion.

The commentators then throw it to a replay of Nikki Bella making Brie Bella slap AJ Lee in the face.  AJ knocked Brie down and chased Nikki off.

Renee Young is backstage with AJ Lee.  Renee asks about getting attacked by Brie.  AJ says Brie slapped the taste out of her mouth, but the puppet master pulling the strings was her sister.  Brie comes up to her and apologizes for what happened on RAW.  AJ goes to say something, but Nikki attacks her from behind and knocks her out.  Nikki pushes Brie and tells her to act more sincere next time.  Nikki then calls for Brie to leave with her.  Brie looks really conflicted about what just happened.

-Commercial Break-

The steel cage is shown hanging above the ring.

Natalya vs. Summer Rae w/ Layla

Earlier in the night, Tyson Kidd was shown talking to Summer Rae and Layla about defeating Sheamus on RAW.  Natalya came up and said she’d been texting him.  Kidd said he didn’t have his cell phone with him.  Summer says he was telling them about beating Sheamus before asking if Natalya appreciates him.  Natalya then pulls Kidd away.

Kidd will be on commentary for this match.  Summer pushes Natalya and quickly goes to the ropes to prevent Natalya from attacking her.  Summer takes her down with a spinning heel kick for a two count.  Summer applies a body scissor, but Natalya punches away at her.  Natalya powers up and hits a body slam.  Natalya powers her down before hitting a low dropkick.  Kidd gets up from commentary after Michael Cole criticized him for not talking about Natalya.  Natalya hits a discus clothesline before trying for a Sharpshooter.  Kidd shouts something to her, and Summer rolls her up for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Summer Rae
Match Rating: 1/4 *

Natalya looks upset as Kidd comes in and pat her on the head.  Cole tried to blame Kidd for her loss.

Dolph Ziggler will face Kane in a Steel Cage Match in tonight’s main event.

-Commercial Break-

John Cena will face Ryback this Monday on RAW!

Renee Young is backstage with Dolph Ziggler.  Renee asks him how he feels about facing Kane in a Steel Cage match.  Ziggler says he made his intentions very clear on RAW.  He wants The Authority out.  If he has to be put in a Steel Cage against a monster, then that’s fine.  He’ll stand up to anyone.  Triple H walks up and says he’s surprised to see him here so game and ready to fight.  Ziggler was lucky Randy Orton saved him on Monday Night, but he isn’t here tonight and may never be back.  John Cena isn’t here either.  Who will save Ziggler tonight once he’s in the cage with Kane?  Is it time for Ziggler to save himself?  Triple H says the thing is it isn’t too late.  Ziggler can still change his mind.  Triple H asks Renee if she saw what happened to Randy Orton.  She did.  Triple H says imagine if that happened to Orton, imagine what could happen to Ziggler.

Michael Cole is on the stage.  Cole introduces Chris Meek, a co-founder of Soldier Socks.  Physical therapist Lisa Hughes is then introduced.  Cole then introduces a true American hero, a man who was injured in Afghanistan fighting for our freedoms, Sergeant Dean Rose.  Rose comes out in a wheelchair.  Meek talks about how the foundation came to be.  A video is then shown of soldiers with lower paralysis taking steps using a bionic machine.  Truly incredible.  Sgt. Rose talks about how he was paralyzed from the chest down following an IED incident.  A USA chant breaks out as Cole says he’s going to walk now.  Sgt. Rose amazingly gets up and takes a few steps as the crowd chants “Let’s go Dan” and “Thank you Dan.”  A few people in the crowd are crying.  Absolutely amazing.  This is one of the top things I’ve ever seen on this show.

-Commercial Break-

The video of Luke Harper’s eyes is shown as Dolph Ziggler makes his entrance.

Steel Cage Match
Dolph Ziggler vs. Kane

Charles Robinson, my favorite referee ever, will officiate this match.  The bell rings, and they circle the ring.  Ziggler slides on the mat to avoid Kane.  Ziggler punches away at him before Kane pushes him into the ropes.  Ziggler dropkicks him in the knee and goes for a famouser, but Kane gets him in position for a powerbomb.  Ziggler counters into a face-buster for a near fall.  Ziggler begins climbing the cage, but Kane pulls him down.  Kane throws him into the cage, but Ziggler begins to climb the cage again.  Kane pulls him off, but Ziggler begins punching him.  Ziggler hits the ropes, but Kane sidesteps him and sends him face first into the cage.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Kane choking Ziggler on the ropes.  Ziggler flips through a back suplex attempt, but he runs into a big boot for a near fall.  Kane sends him to the corner and avalanches him.  Kane then takes the turnbuckle pad off the top and throws it out of the cage.  Ziggler sidesteps an avalanche and tries to clothesline him, but Kane doesn’t go down.  Ziggler tries again for the same result.  Ziggler then takes him down with a DDT for a near fall.

Ziggler begins to climb the cage, and Kane climbs after him.  They stand on the top rope and trade punches.  Ziggler kicks him in the quadriceps, and Kane gets crotched on the top rope.  Kane then punches him in the leg and crotches him on the top rope as well.  Ziggler eventually pulls himself up and tries for a springboard clothesline, but Kane uppercuts him out of mid-air for a two count.  Kane signals for a Chokeslam, but Ziggler gets out and quickly begins climbing the cage.  Kane pulls him off by his leg, and Ziggler lands face first on the mat.  Kane then lays him out with a Chokeslam.  Kane looks at the crowd and signals for the Tombstone Piledriver.  Kane turns him upside down, but Ziggler slides off and hits a Zig-Zag for a near fall!

Ziggler begins crawling toward the door after a few moments, but Kane grabs him by the ankle.  Ziggler kicks him away, ducks a clothesline, and superkicks him.  Kane bounces off the ropes and knocks Ziggler down on the rebound.  Both men are down on the mat.  Ziggler claws toward the door of the cage.  Ziggler sidesteps him, and Kane hits the exposed turnbuckle head-first.  Ziggler climbs over Kane to the top of the cage.  Kane grabs him by the throat, but Ziggler punches him back.  Ziggler climbs over the top of the cage, and Kane kicks the door of the cage into his midsection twice.  Ziggler is hanging on the top of the door.  Kane goes to leave through the door, but Ziggler uses his weight to slam the door into Kane’s head!  Ziggler then falls to the floor for the win!

Winner by Escaping the Cage: Dolph Ziggler
Match Rating: ** 1/2

Kane is irate about being defeated as Ziggler celebrates going up the ramp.  A graphic is shown for the Survivor Series match.  The commentators talk about John Cena returning on RAW and mention we’ll hear about the teams being filled out.
