AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT Ratings: Viewership way down for both shows, AEW on top

AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings for April 1, 2020 are now in.

AEW Dynamite, going head-to-head against WWE NXT, drew an average of 685,000 viewers on Wednesday night according to a report by Showbuzzdaily.com.

This is down 16% from last week’s show that drew an average of 819,000 viewers on TNT. Dynamite came in at No. 37 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, down from No. 23 where they placed last week.

This week’s episode of NXT drew an average of 590,000 viewers on Wednesday night.

This is down 12% from last week’s show that averaged 669,000 viewers. NXT came in at No. 74 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, down from No. 56 where they placed last week.

In overall viewership, AEW Dynamite defeated WWE NXT in the fourteenth head-to-head battle of 2020 in the “Wednesday Night War” by 95,000 viewers. AEW has not lost yet in 2020.

Combined viewership for both shows (1.275 million viewers) was down 14% from last week (1.488 million viewers).

Demographic Ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT

WWE NXT, featuring the NXT North American Title match, averaged a 0.15 rating among adults 18-49. This is down from the 0.20 rating they had last week.

AEW Dynamite, headlined by a tag team match, averaged a 0.25 rating among adults 18-49. This is down from last week’s 0.34 rating.
