AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT Ratings: Viewership down for both shows, NXT out of Top 50

AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings for August 12, 2020 are now in.

AEW Dynamite, going head-to-head against WWE NXT, drew an average of 792,000 viewers on Wednesday night according to a report by Showbuzzdaily.com.

This is down from last week’s show that drew an average of 901,000 viewers on TNT. Dynamite came in at No. 9 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, down from No. 5 where they placed last week.

This week’s episode of NXT drew an average of 619,000 viewers on Wednesday night.

This is up from last week’s show that averaged 753,000 viewers. NXT came in at No. 65 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, down from No. 27 where they placed last week.

In overall viewership, AEW Dynamite defeated WWE NXT in the thirty-third head-to-head battle of 2020 in the “Wednesday Night War” by 173,000 viewers.

Overall viewers for both shows was at 1.411 million average viewers, down from 1.654 million last week. Both shows went against back-to-back NBA games.

Demographic Ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT

WWE NXT, headlined by a triple threat match, averaged a 0.16 rating among adults 18-49. This is down from the 0.20 rating they had last week.

AEW Dynamite, headlined by Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy II, averaged a 0.32 rating among adults 18-49. This is down from the 0.36 rating they had last week.
