Details on changes made to AEW Dynamite resulting from talent unable to travel due to Hurricane Ian

According to a report by Fightful Select, Hurricane Ian forced changes to Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite that took place live from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA.

AEW CEO and President Tony Khan had announced earlier this week that attendance for talent and staff, for this week’s Dynamite and Rampage taping at Dynamite was voluntary due to Hurricane Ian making hitting the state of Florida.

Fightful Select notes some absences related to travel issues for talent led to “big changes” to Wednesday’s episode. Swerve Strickland was scheduled to appear, but he was unable to travel, thus the reason Keith Lee was worked a backstage segment with newly crowned tag team champions The Acclaimed.

ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe was also unable to travel. Joe was said to be originally part of the show that was to continue furthering ROH storylines.
