AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla made a surprise appearance at STARDOM The Conversion 2026 on Saturday, June 20.
After the third match concluded, STARDOM president Taro Okada was addressing the fans, when Thekla appeared behind him and tried to cut his hair with clippers. Starlight Kid, who is challenging Thekla at AEW’s Forbidden Door PPV came down to make the save.
The segment ended with Kid holding up the AEW Women’s World Title belt, saying that the next time she holds up the title she will be the champion.

Thekla was fired from Stardom in Storyline back in April 2025. They did an angle with Thekla attacking Okada to set up the firing for exit from the company. Thekla made her AEW debut on the May 28, 2025 episode of Dynamite, attacking Jamie Hayter. Thekla signed a contract extension with AEW this past March.
