Jake Roberts reveals he’s no longer with AEW, says Tony Khan is a ‘breath of fresh air’

During a recent interview with Bill Apter, WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts revealed he is no longer with AEW.

“Loved it. I just finished up working for him. I’m no longer employed by AEW.”

When asked about what it was like working for Tony Khan, Roberts said Khan is a ‘breath of fresh air.’

“[Tony Khan] is awesome, really is – breath of fresh air.”

The 71-year-old Roberts, who is 14 years sober with the help of Diamond Dallas Page, also said that his main focus right now is his grandkids.

Roberts first appeared on AEW programming in a backstage segment during the Road to All Out. Roberts signed with the promotion in March of 2020. He began his on-screen role as a manager on the March 11, 2020, episode of Dynamite, managing Lance Archer. In 2023, he joined AEW’s community outreach program, titled AEW Together.
