Titan In Japan
This week CMLL’s Titan began his tour of Japan as a part of New Japan’s Best of Super Juniors Tournament. He and former WWE star Trent Barrett teamed up in a Non-Tournament match to defeat former IWRG stars Tetsuya Bushi & Hiromou Takahashi. Titan & Barrett will then face off in Titan’s first BOSJ Tournament Match as a part of Block A on 05/26. His entire schedule of matches is below.

TripleMania Coming to iPPV
This week AAA announced that “TripleMania” on June 16th would be available live on iPPV at LuchaLibreAAA.com. They also announced that it will be broadcasted live in select theaters (presumably in Mexico) as well as traditional PPV in Mexico. Full details are expected to be announced soon. Tag Titles Stripped
This week AAA announced that Joe Lider & Vampiro have been stripped of the AAA Tag Team Titles due to lack of defending the belts (they have defended the belts a grand total of 0 times since winning them in October of last year). The new champions will be crowned at TripleMania in an Elimination Match. The teams featured will be Fenix & Drago, Psicosis & Daga representing Perros del Mal, the reunited Mexican Powers (Joe Lider & Crazy Boy), the American/South African duo of Angelico & Jack Evans, and the IWL tandem of Los Mamitos (Sexy B & Mr. E).
Dr. Wagner Drama Continues
This week El Hijo del Santo confirmed that Dr. Wagner Jr. would no longer be working with TxT and he isn’t listed on their next shows card (below in the INDY section) while AAA is promoting a “surprise” for their next TV taping. Many people are speculating that AAA and Wagner have ended their public feud and Wagner will be returning to AAA in time for TripleMania.

Fighting Spirit Tag Tournament
The Independent wrestling company in New York that is going to be putting on a Lucha Libre event in June has announced that it will be holding a Tag Team Tournament on 07/19 featuring some Lucha teams. Some teams Lucha fans might recognize are CHIKARA teams like The Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson) & The Batiri (Kodama & Obariyon). Also, former AAA star Laredo Kid is teaming with Hombre sin Miedo and calling themselves “Fuerza Aerea.” Other teams that have been announced thus far are Da Hit Squad (Dan Maff & Monsta Mack), EYFBO (Angel Ortiz & Mike Draztik), The S.A.T. (Joel & Wil Maximo), Azrieal & Bandido Jr., and BLK OUT (BLK Jeez & Ruckus).
Viva L.A. Lucha
Masked Republic and the people that produced MTV’s “Wrestling Society X” and the Viva la Lucha PPV series are launching a new promotion/TV show called Viva L.A. Lucha which will be based out of Los Angeles, CA and they have launched a KickStarter to try and fund the product. Along with Kevin Kleinrock and Masked Republic both AAA’s Konnan and former WWE star X-Pac have signed on as Executive Producers of the promotion/series. The KickStarter is looking to fund the production costs for shooting a pilot and a few more episodes during 2 days of TV tapings in Los Angeles. They are looking for $60,000 to be funded by June 2nd (and then the dates will be decided on the taping if they get funded). They also listed a slew of talent they hope to use for the tapings which include El Mariachi, Derek Sanders, Brian Cage, Famous B, Homicide, The Young Bucks, Willie Mack, Facade, Ivelisee Velez, Extreme Tiger, Bestia 666, Pesadilla, Mortiz, Hijo de Rey Misterio, and others. They will also bringing stars from both AAA & the UK for matches on the shows. They guarantee that if it is funded that the episodes will be distributed in some manner (whether digitally, TV, or DVD) by at least December 31, 2013. People that pledge from $10 to $10,000 can earn “rewards” for those pledges ranging from vinyl stickers ($10) to exclusive viewing of the taped episodes and live viewing of the tapings on iPPV, tickets to the shows, DVDs, VIP access to a Lucha event in Mexico, dinner with Konnan & X-Pac, and other rewards depending on how much you pledge. Pesadilla Going to Japan
Indy luchador Pesadilla is continuing to bolster his international resume as he announced this week that he will be heading to Pro Wrestling NOAH soon for a 3-month tour though he didn’t say when he would be starting. Pesadilla’s cousin Super Crazy competes regularly in Pro Wrestling NOAH as well as All Japan. As a result Pesadilla vacated his DTU Title.
PdM Anniversary
This week Perros del Mal revealed that they would be running a 5 Year Anniversary Show on 06/09 but didn’t announce a location for the show (kind of a big deal there Perro). They said taht Canek, Dr. Wagner Jr., Cibernetico, Psicosis, Daga, Ricky Marvin, Perro Aguayo Jr., Los Traumas, Fabi Apache, & Mari Apache would appear on the show.

Though this famous happened several years ago it’s started spreading around the internet (Facebook mainly) again, and someone has added a hilarious ending to it so I felt compelled to add some much needed humor this week. So enjoy Ultimo Guerrero sending Ke Monito into the atmosphere:
Over the years the loveable mascot has been used and abused in some hilarious (and sometimes brutal) moments. So let’s relive some more of these moments.
