The WWE returns to PPV/WWE Network for the annual Money in the Bank event tonight and this year we are guaranteed a brand new WWE World Heavyweight Champion as the title will be on the line in a “Money in the Bank” Ladder Match for the very first time.

Layla vs. Summer Rae
Special Referee: Fandango
Over the past few weeks the rivalry between Fandango’s ex-girlfriend Summer Rae and his new girlfriend Layla has gotten more and more heated as the weeks pass. Summer Rae has done her best to embarrass Layla at every turn and even kissed Fandango in front of Layla this past week on RAW. Layla didn’t take it lying down and attacked Summer leading to this match with Fandango playing the part of the referee. At some point in the match Fandango will have to make his choice between the two gorgeous divas.

Rybaxel vs. Goldust & Stardust
Goldust and his brother Stardust, Cody Rhodes, have found a new life as a team since Cody’s evolution to the eccentric Stardust alter-ego. After the brothers lost to Rybaxel at “Payback” they have come back together and defeated Rybaxel twice in a row on TV. Now on PPV Goldust & Stardust will attempt to keep the winning streak going again against Rybaxel with both teams hoping to get back in the Tag Title hunt.

Big E vs. Rusev
At “Payback” Rusev defeated Big E in dominating fashion and ever since Rusev and his manager Lana have been screaming about how dominant Russia is over America. On RAW Big E turned into almost “Reverend Big E” as he preached about how great the United States is leading to a brutal attack from Rusev. Big E gained a measure of revenge on Smackdown with an attack of his own on Rusev and this Sunday they will settle their differences once and for all.

WWE Divas Championship
Paige (c) vs. Naomi
Ever since defeating AJ Lee in her WWE debut for the Divas Championship Paige has defeated all challengers for her title and now Naomi is next up to bat. Naomi defeated Paige in a non-title match on a recent “Main Event” to earn this title shot. Over the past year Naomi has gained several big wins but has also suffered from a few nagging injuries as well. Can the “Funkadactyl” put it all together and wrestle away Pagie’s Championship this time?

WWE World Tag Team Championships
The Usos (c) vs. The Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan & Luke Harper)
Bray Wyatt’s boys have proven to be one of the most dominant tag teams in the WWE as of recent and their massive size along with the freakish athleticism of Luke Harper could prove to be the biggest challenge The Usos have ever faced. During the feud between John Cena and Bray The Usos inserted themselves into the rivalry to help even the odds for Cena even going after Rowan & Harper during Cena and Bray’s violent Last Man Standing Match last month. After “Payback” The Wyatt Family even gained a non-title win over The Usos on RAW to secure this title shot. The Usos have been the best tag team in the land over the past year but The Wyatt’s could be on the verge of taking that top spot from the second generation stars.

“Money in the Bank” Ladder Match
Seth Rollins vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Bad News Barrett vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler
The first of the Money In The Bank Ladder Match is the traditional one with the winner earning a contract that guarantees a World Title shot at any time over the next year. Winners of the MITB contract have successfully turned that title shot into a win twelve of fourteen times which means you almost guarantee yourself a World Title reign. Swagger, RVD, and Ziggler have all won the MITB contract in past years and all three successfully cashed those contracts in to win the World Title. Kofi and Barrett are both MITB Ladder Match veterans but have never won it while this is the first time for Seth and Ambrose. Ambrose and Seth have been feuding heavily ever since Seth turned on The Shield the night after Payback and both want to ensure the other doesn’t win this match which could end up costing both men as well. Barrett has been on a roll ever since winning the Intercontinental Title as well.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Ladder Match
Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton vs. Sheamus vs. John Cena vs. Cesaro vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns vs. Kane
Following the severe neck injury that Daniel Bryan suffered a couple of months ago The Authority has stripped him of the World Title so now this Main Event MITB Ladder Match will crown a brand new WWE World Champion for the very first time. ADR, Kane, Orton, Sheamus, and Cena are all former World Champions in the past while Bray, Cesaro, & Reigns have never won a World Title before. Cena could very well end up being a 15-time World Champion following this match making him just one title reign short of Ric Flair’s 16. All of the men in this match had to win their way into it except for Orton and Kane who were placed in the match by The Authority. Del Rio, Kane, Cena, and Orton have all won MITB Ladder Matches in the past as well and in fact Cena was the first man to ever unsuccessfully cash in the MITB contract. Will a former World Champion once again gain the biggest crown in the business or will a first time champion be crowned at Money In The Bank?

“Money in the Bank” is live on PPV and WWE Network at 8:00 p.m. ET (7:00 p.m. CT).

Wrestleview.com will be covering it live here as well as on Twitter via @wrestleview.
