AEW has announced Cody Rhodes vs. Malakai Black in a return match for the debut of AEW live in Queens, NY for their Dynamite: Grand Slam episode from Arthur Ashe Stadium taking place on September 22.
Black destroyed Rhodes in their first match back on the August 4 Homecoming episode at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.
AEW has also announced new matches (see below) for next Wednesday’s Dynamite, which will take place live from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
-Adam Cole to make his AEW in-ring debut against Frankie Kazarian
-Jade Cargill (w/Smart Mark Sterling) vs. Leyla Hirsch
-Darby Allin (w/Sting) vs. Shawn Spears (w/Tully Blanchard)
