Hall of Fame Tag Team reportedly has signed legends contracts with WWE

In an article from Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated featuring Team 3D, better known as The Dudley Boyz, it was stated that the tag team recently signed legends contracts with WWE.

The article did not give specific terms of the contracts. WWE has yet to officially confirm the news. Both men however, are set to reunite as Team 3D at the IMPACT 1000 television taping on Saturday, which will be held at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York. The 1,000th episode of IMPACT Wrestling will air on AXS TV next Thursday, September 14 at 8:00 pm ET.

Bully Ray has been featured in regular storylines on IMPACT television, and was known as Bubba Ray as part of The Dudley Boyz. Devon Hughes, better knowns as D-Von thought he would never return to active wrestling. He suffered a stroke back in 2019 and has now since recovered. When he had his stroke, he was working in NXT as a producer and coach. D-Von told Barraso that working in NXT was a very stressful time for him.

This Saturday will be the first time in seven years both men will return to the ring as a team and will be the first time in that time period for D-Von.

As The Dudley Boyz, their last in WWE match took place on the SummerSlam 2016 kick-off show. As Team 3D, they were inducted into the IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2014 and then as The Dudley Boyz, inducted into the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame.
