Celebration for Gunther announced for Monday’s WWE Raw

WWE has announced that this Monday’s Raw will feature a celebration for Gunther, who is now the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion, passing WWE Hall of Famer Honky Tonk Man. Gunther broke Honky Tonk Man’s record on this past Monday’s Raw, after he successfully defeated Chad Gable.

Gable’s family sat in the front row for the match. His kids were shown on camera crying after their dad was defeated.

As of this writing, Gunther is at 455 days. The Honky Tonk Man won the Title from Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat during an episode of Superstars of Wrestling taped on June 2, 1987 in Buffalo, NY. Because the episode aired the following day, WWE only recognizes Honky Tonk Man record at 453 days and not 454 days.

Also announced for Monday night’s Raw is the following:

-WWE Women’s World Championship Match: Rhea Ripley defends against Raquel Rodriguez (Dominik Mysterio is banned from ringside)

-Cody Rhodes returns

This Monday’s WWE Raw will air live on the USA Network and emanate from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, VA.
