According to PWInsider and Fightful, the reason Michael Cole missed Monday night’s season premiere of WWE Monday Night Raw, is because he had requested some time ago to have this week off, due to a personal commitment.
It was also noted by PWInsider Cole did not miss Monday’s episode of Raw due to an illness. Furthermore it was said that Kevin Patrick had been scheduled for several weeks to handle the play-by-play on the October 16 Raw.
Cole is set to return to WWE TV next week.
This is only the third-time in 25 years that Cole has missed appearing on a WWE television show.
