It was mentioned on commentary by Kevin Patrick during Friday night’s WWE SmackDown, that Charlotte Flair will be out of action for 9 months. At the time it was not said the what the extent of her knee injury was.
In an update, per PWInsider, Flair is expected to undergo knee surgery in the weeks ahead. It was also said that the surgery is being scheduled around the holidays, which is why Flair has not yet undergone the procedure.
PWInsider concluded by saying that they spoke to a source about the injury, who described it as “likely worse than” just a torn ACL and that there were additional knee injuries but they declined to specify what they may have been. The torn ACL was rumored among talents at this past Monday’s Raw.
Flair injured her knee during her match with Asuka at the WWE Tribute to the Troops SmackDown special, which took place back on December 8.
