Matches for 12/20 AEW Dynamite and 12/23 AEW Collision; CJ Perry lands in the ER

Coming out of this Saturday night’s AEW Collision it was announced that the December 20 episode of Dynamite and December 23 episode of Collision will be Holiday Bash themed.

There were also new matches announces for the 12/20 episode of Dynamite and the 12/23 episode of Collision.

The following matches are set to take place on the 12/20 episode of AEW Dynamite.

-Continental Classic Gold League Match: Mark Briscoe vs. Jay Lethal

-Continental Classic Gold League Match: Jon Moxley vs. Jay White

-Continental Classic Gold League Match: Swerve Strickland vs. RUSH

-Saraya vs. Rhio. The winner faces Toni Storm for AEW Women’s World Championship at Worlds End. These matches were announced during a backstage segment on this week’s Collision.

-Roderick Strong vs. Komander. This match was made during a backstage segment on this week’s Collision.

The 12/20 episode of AEW Dynamite will take place live on TBS and take place from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, OK.

The following matches will take place on next Saturday’s Collision.

-AEW World Trios Championship Match: The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn defend against Top Flight and Action Andretti. This match was made official after Top Flight and Andretti challenged The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn during a backstage segment on this week’s Collision.

-Thunder Rosa and Abadon vs. TBS Champion Julia Hart and Skye Blue. This match was made official after Rosa left the Spanish announce table to save Abadon from a beatdown by Hart and Blue. Rosa has not wrestled since August 2022 due to a back injury. Rosa was forced to relinquish the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Next week’s AEW Collision will air live on TNT and take place from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, TX.

CJ Perry explains her absence from the 12/16 episode of Collision

CJ Perry was noticeably absent from Saturday night’s Collision, as she did not appear with Andrade in the show’s cold opener nor accompany him during his entrance for his match.

Perry took to X noting the reason she missed Collision, as well her debut in Mexico at the CMLL event where she was supposed to accompany Andrade, was due to an infection.

The infection which began in her finger and then went to her arm.
