In the midst of an upcoming election in London, current mayor Sadiq Khan has pledged to bring more major sporting events to the city.
As reported by MyLondon, the mayor has said that he aims to bring WrestleMania and the Super Bowl to what he claims is the “sporting capital of the world,” along with attempting to bring back NBA games and a bid for the 2040 Olympics.
Khan looks to establish a taskforce to explore options, should he be re-elected on May 2.
WWE has already taken notice of the mayor’s plans, with chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque responding on social media.
