Deadline has reported that Ronda Rousey has closed a deal to adapt the script for her own biopic at Netflix.
The project was originally set up at Paramount in 2015 following the release of Rousey’s first memoir, My Fight/Your Fight.
With her second memoir Our Fight recently released, the former WWE Women’s Champion reportedly worked with WME’s Adam Novak to understand what it would take to adapt her life story into a script studios would want to make.
Rousey previously took WWE to task for its past handling of the women’s division, citing a lack of resources and time for preparation that was noticeable during her run with the company.
