WWE ‘anticipates’ seeking private arbitration in Janel Grant case

WWE has filed a motion before the United States District Court of Connecticut, stating an intent to follow Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis in requesting the lawsuit filed against them be moved to private arbitration.

As reported by PWInsider, the motion notes that “the parties have met and conferred” on a schedule, looking to “suspend the current deadlines to answer, move or otherwise respond to the Compliant while the motions to compel arbitration are pending.”

This comes after McMahon filed a motion on April 23, followed by a motion from Laurinaitis on May 2.

The lawsuit, filed by Janel Grant on January 25, calls to attention allegations of sex trafficking, emotional abuse, and sexual assault against McMahon in particular.
