Eddie Andelman, creator of WWE King of the Ring, has passed away at age 89

Wrestleview is sad to report that Boston Radio icon and creator of WWE King of the Ring, Eddie Andelman, has passed away at the age of 89.

The family announced his passing on Facebook.

Though Andelman was not directly involved in pro wrestling, he knew the McMahon family and came up with the concept of the King of the Ring in 1985, which was originally a charity event with all proceeds donated to multiple children’s non-profits.
