Big title change takes place at AEW Dynamite Beach Break

Kyle Fletcher in the new AEW International Champion.

Fletcher defeated Konosuke Takeshita on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Beach Break to become the new champion.

Below is an excerpt from Alex Kahrs’ AEW Dynamite Beach Break on how the title change went down.

Fletcher fights back, dropping the champ with a Michinoku Driver but it’s only good for two. He sends Takeshita to the ropes, where the Alpha lands a big lariat to lay his challenger out. He pulls Kyle to the middle of the ring before going up top, but Kyle intercepts him. He is pushed back but lands a kick to the head of Takeshita…who fires back with a powerbomb sending Fletcher clear across the ring!

He goes for a running knee but is tripped up by Callis, but Fletcher gets caught by the champ with a Raging Fire. Takeshita is hurt as he crawls over for the pin, only for the challenger to grab the bottom rope. Konosuke goes to the corner, dropping his knee pad for a Power Drive Knee…but Fletcher rolls through for a nearfall. He breaks out of a backslide for a running kick…followed by a sheer drop brainbuster!

Cover by Fletcher…but the champ gets a shoulder up just in time.

Takeshita looks to take the fight to Fletcher in the corner, but the challenger drops him with a brainbuster onto the turnbuckle for the win.
