Baron Corbin is back in WWE.
Corbin made his surprise return Friday night on SmackDown, taking out Trick Williams, Lil Yachty, and Carmelo Hayes during the match between Williams and Hayes.
Corbin grabbed the United States Championship, showing his intent to go after the championship he once held. The fans in attendance went crazy, chanting, “Holy S—“, as Corbin left for the backstage area.
Corbin left WWE in November 2024 after the company announced that his contract would not be renewed. Since his release, Corbin had been wrestling on the independent scene using the name of Bishop Dyer.
The 41-year-old Corbin, under the name Bishop Dyer, recently finished up his obligations with MLW, where he was stripped of his tag team title amid a contract dispute, while reports indicated internal discussions in WWE about bringing him back as Baron Corbin.
Fightful reports that WWE has filed to trademark “Nomad,” which was the nickname used with Bishop Dyer.
