After being nominated by Sean Dean, Baker nominated Chris Jericho, Renee Paquette and Jon Moxley, Adam Cole, Kris Statlander, Orange Cassidy, and Thunder Rosa to take part in doing their own Ice Bucket Challenge videos.

Baker last appeared on the November 13, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite, where defeated Penelope Ford. AEW head Tony Khan has said during various interviews and media scrums, he expects Baker to return to AEW programming at some point.

Last month, AEW has announced new Rebel merchandise, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to those affected by ALS.

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that destroys nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The disease damages and halts motor signals to voluntary muscles, eventually leading to muscle wasting, paralysis, and respiratory failure. There is currently no cure.

The average survival time for those with ALS is 2 to 4 years from diagnosis, though there are 10 percent of patients that survive for longer than 10 years.
