Per a report from Fightful Select on Monday, the contract for former AEW tag team and world trios champion Max Caster is set to expire around October. The publication also indicated they have not heard if Caster and AEW are in talks about an extension or a new contract.
Caster and Anthony Bowens, known as The Acclaimed, made their AEW debut in the summer of 2020 on an episode of AEW Dark. They went on to be huge fan favorites before their heel run.
Caster’s last appearance on AEW programming was on the December 17, 2025 episode of Dynamite as part of the Diamond Ring Battle Royal. Following The Acclaimed breaking up, AEW put Caster in a new gimmick where he would call himself the Best Wrestler Alive and come to the ring with a copy of his trademark. He would call out wrestlers to challenge him for five minutes and end up losing to his opponents as part of the gimmick.
Bowens is currently part of The Opps faction in AEW, while Caster is currently wrestling on the independent scene.
