Missouri Court records show that former WCW star 2 Cold Scorpio (real name Charles Scaggs) has pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and armed criminal action.
His trial was scheduled to begin on Monday, August 3. However, he is now scheduled for sentencing on October 9.
The incident took place in June 2024 at a Love’s Travel Stops between Scaggs and another man. Scaggs had been working as a security guard at the place of business. Scaggs and the man got into an altercation around 3:40 am local time.
A previous report from TMZ Sports notes that after Scaggs told the man he could not smoke inside, Scaggs said the man became upset at Scaggs, telling him, “F you, the f— you gonna do?” Scaggs added that the man threatened him and the two eventually went back outside. Scaggs also claimed the man tried to fight him. Scaggs told local authorities he pulled a knife from his pocket and stabbed the guy in self-defense. Scaggs also said that during the altercation, which went on for several more moments, he was stabbed a few times as well.
Police said when they arrived on the scene, the guy was found lying on the ground bleeding from his head, chest, buttocks, legs, and abdomen. He was taken to a local hospital where he was going in and out of consciousness. Furthermore, when investigators were able to speak with him at the medical facility that day, he said Scaggs was the aggressor.
Scaggs also wrestled in WWE as Flash Funk. He has also held several championships.
