Bloomberg reports that on Friday Vince McMahon and his insurers have agreed to pay $42.5 million to resolve a litigation matter challenging the merger of WWE and UFC. WWE, on its own, has to pay $105 million.
The report notes that shareholders leading the case disclosed the full $147.5 million figure in a court filing Friday, criticizing WWE parent company TKO Group Holdings Inc. for making “partial disclosures” in a securities filing which led to what they say is “an incomplete picture of the full settlement” to circulate in the press.
The lawsuit alleged the transaction’s architects ‘warped’ the deal in favor of McMahon and other insiders, including Ari Emanuel.
The case is listed as In re World Wrestling Ent. Inc. Merger Litig., Del. Ch., No. 2023-1166, which was in a letter filed on Friday, August 7, 2026.
