Kazuchika Okada is the new AEW International Champion.
Okada won the title after defeating Konosuke Takeshita and the now former champion Kyle Fletcher, in a three-way match at Sunday’s All In PPV, live from Wembley Stadium in London England. Fletcher won the title from Takeshita back on the July 8 episode of Dynamite Beach Break.
Below is an excerpt from Alex Kahrs’ AEW All In London recap of how the title change went down.
…Fletcher takes Takeshita down for a nearfall. Konosuke tries to regain control..only for Okada to pull him away for a Rainmaker lariat! Cover by Okada, but it’s broken up by the champ. Okada finds himself at odds with both opponents, who go to work sending the Rainmaker out of the ring before going back at each other. Okada tries to intervene again before Takeshita sends him outside, and this allows Fletcher to take control with a dropkick instead.
Takeshita gets sent to the corner, where Fletcher drops him with a brainbuster…only for Okada to come in with a Rainmaker lariat on the champ for the win!
