Congress passes ALS legislation supported by AEW’s Rebel

Congress has passed the Accelerating Access to Critical Therapies for ALS Act, commonly known as ACT for ALS. AEW’s Rebel had recently urged fans to support and sign the petition, as ACT for ALS was set to expire tomorrow (September 30) if Congress did nothing further with it, which would have seen programs providing ALS patients access to investigational therapies no longer being available to them.

The legislation, which is now on its way to President Donald Trump’s desk for signature, will now expire in 2031.

AEW held a special Rebel Heart Dynamite back on September 9, supporting Rebel’s efforts to fight ALS. She was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year, despite experiencing symptoms two-years ago.
