IMPACT Wrestling returned to Graceland in Memphis, TN for a second night of Mid-South Mayhem television tapings on Saturday.
Wrestleview reader Andrew Elder also attended Night 2 of IMPACT Wrestling’s Mid-South Mayhem television tapings on Friday at Graceland in Memphis, TN. Andrew is back with his on-site spoiler report for night 2 of the TV tapings.

Night 2 of Mid-South Mayhem Tapings
BTI Taping which took place before the IMPACT tapings
-Alan Angels beat Laredo Kid. This was a pretty good match
Kilynn King beat Jody Threat. Kilynn faked a knee injury on the outside (I was convinced she blew out her knee). She tricked the officials and Jody Threat that she was hurt but she got up and jumped an upset Jody, posted her and was able to get her in the ring and do her finisher to win the match
Impact Tapings
-Jonathan Gresham beat Speedball Mike Bailey using the tights. This was a great opener. They really put on a great match. Bailey yelled at Gresham as he was leaving why did he do that.
-Impact World Tag Title Match: The Rascalz defeated Sami Callihan and Rich Swann. Another solid match. Almost thought we had new champs after Trey sprayed Zachary in the face with the green spray paint. Rascalz were able to retain after Rich Swann was posted by Trey, when Sami and he tried to do their tandem finisher again. Rascalz hit there’s to retain the World Titles.
-Tasha Steelz with Deonna Purrazzo beat Courtney Rush with Jessika. This was a pretty good match with Deonna helping Tasha get the win.
-Fans Revenge Country Ass Whooping Lumberjack Strap Tag Match: ABC beat the John Skyler and Jai Vidal. This was same finish and pretty much the same match from Friday night. David Penzer announced it was a Fans Revenge – Only assumed they may wanted to see which match was better. ABC had the lumberjacks come in the ring to celebrate with them.
-Five-Person Call Your Shot Entry Number Match featuring Jordynne Grace, Champagne Singh, Jake Something, Eric Young and Dirty Dango. Dango won with the help of Vladimir Koslov who headbutted Jake Something and then Dango made the pin. Dango will enter last and Jake will enter first in the Call Your Shot Battle Royal.
-Kenny King with Sheldon Jean defeated Heath. Typical Kenny King chicanery with the help of Sheldon. Still a good match
-Mickie James and Trinity defeated Giselle Shaw and Savannah Evans with Jai Vidal. Very good match with double teams by the heels. After the match, during the celebration Mickie James kept holding on to the belt when Trinity tried to raise it up. They had mutual stare-down. Thought it was funny that on the outside Giselle and Jai left Savannah by herself when heading to the back
-No DQ Match: Crazzy Steve beat Black Taurus. Steve at one point tried to gouge Taurus’ eyes with a fork. They fought over it and Steve was begging Taurus not too. Steve got the advantage and used the briefcase on Taurus to get the win. Lots of weapons in this one.
-Masha Slamovich with Killer Kelly beat Jessika with Courtney Rush. Masha did that weird dog chase that she does (she is always on that collar and leash during the entrance) and chase Jessika out the ring. Jessika and Courtney ended up in the ringside area near us. Jessika was kind of afraid to get back in the and Courtney told us they were weirded out lol. Match was fun. Felt bad Jessika lost. The Death Dollz were 0-2 tonight.
-The Modern Gods of Wrestling Moose and Brian Myers beat Rhino and PCO. Steve Maclin interfered when Rhino was going to hit the gore on the outside to Brian and knocked him down. Maclin was going to attack Rhino with a chair but Bully Ray comes out to stop him. PCO comes flying over the top rope and takes out Maclin when Bully moved. Bully said he was taking that again and said something to Rhino. PCO takes the pinfall when entering back in the ring.
-Best 2 out 3 Falls Match with special Stipulations: (Fall 1 pin, Fall 2 Submission, Fall 3 Last Man Standing) Frankie Kazarian defeated Eddie Edwards. This was a really good match that didn’t disappoint. Eddie won the first fall. In the second fall Kaz won by submission. Last Man Standing was wild. Kaz’s chest was bleeding from the ton of chops Eddie had done. Eddie got busted open later. Was all over the place. Alisha Edwards comes in from the ringside area and makes the save with the kendo stick when Kaz was going to put Eddie through a table. After doing the Styles Clash on the top of the ramp to Eddie, Kaz goes and catches Alisha and he puts her through the second table. Eddie comes back checks on his wife and tells officials to help her. She gets carried out through the ringside area. Enough distraction that allowed Kaz to put him and Eddie through the other table and Kaz made it to his feet to win the match.
Main Event: Yuyu Uemura Impact Farewell Match: Josh Alexander beat Yuya Uemura. The match was very good and clinic. Josh got win but Yuyu pushed him.
Notes: Two great nights of wrestling. I wasn’t sure if Night 2 would live up to the same excitment as Night 1 but it did. Both nights didn’t disappoint. Apparently local promoter/owner of the current Memphis Wrestling promotion was able to get free tickets. We probably hit the 600 mark tonight (not bad for a venue that can seat 1,500) so much so they had to setup more chairs.
Got to say the wrestlers treated the fans well, especially the kids (the heels did there part of course). Trinity gave a little boy one of her glow flashlights which touched. PCO and Rhino interaced after their match especially with the kids. Alex Shelley was taking photos in the lobby with fans. Jessika and Courtney Rush as well.
Giselle Shaw got another Whoop That Trick Chant tonight. Crowd did you sucks at Angels, Myers, Dango. And when they reacted they got you still suck chants. Alisha Edwards got a Na Na Na Hey Hey Hey Goodbye chant when she was carried out, Eddie was mad.
Hope Impact returns again, definitely would go again (We’d love a PPV). Last Impact/TNA event I was at was 2008 Slammiversary in Southaven, Mississippi that was built as Memphis. Hopefully the ticketing can be fixed for the next time they come. Wasn’t as bad as last night but still trying to move folks in spots. Was way more General Admission tickets and of tonight’s free ones out numbering the higher reserved seats.
Overall, both nights were great. I survived two nights of wrestling lol.
