Six Man Tag: Johnny Gargano/Gregory Iron/Hobo Joe vs. Sex Appeal
The trio of Sex Appeal, Bobby Shields, Bobby Beverly, Nicki Valentino, along with Dawn Decadence, are the reigning PWO Tag Team Champions and have made a lot of enemies in their quest to take up as much TV time as possible, and rid PWO if anyone they deem inferior to them. Johnny Gargano & Gregory Iron, after years of intense hatred dating back to their infamous 2008 rivalry, seemed to patch things up in recent weeks, as Gargano’s selfless and sportsmanlike behavior during the recent Gargano vs. Iron PWO Title match, and subsequent handshake, seemed to prove to Greg that Johnny is a changed man from what he once was during their rivalry. Gargano, Iron, and PWO’s cult hero Hobo Joe are united by their disdain for Sex Appeal, but it was Sex Appeal’s Bobby Beverly that made a very compelling point to Greg this past week on television – We have seen mysterious backstage attacks on Beverly himself, as well as Marion Fontaine, and the only thing the two seem to have in common is their recent matches with PWO Champion Johnny Gargano. With Gargano as the one common link, and Iron himself being a recent Gargano opponent, does this mean the “old Johnny” still exists and that Greg’s name is on the hit list? Can Greg truly trust Gargano or is he being sucked into a trap? Greg will no doubt be on edge, but all three must try to stay on the same page to vanquish Sex Appeal in this week’s TV main event.
PWO #1 Contender Tournament Quarterfinal – Big Bear Benjamin Boone vs. Michael Façade
The final bout of the first round to crown the next #1 contender for Gargano’s championship is imminent. Already qualified for the semifinals are PWO’s Most Dominant Athlete Jason Bane, PWO TV Champion “Amazing” N8 Mattson, and the man who has been chasing a PWO Title shot since losing the title a year ago, “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross. A Boone victory would mean double the chances of a victory by the Sons of Michigan in the tournament, however Façade is arguably the most improved athlete in all of PWO, and has a unique arsenal of agility and martial arts not seen anywhere else. Which man will become the final name in the semifinal round of the PWO Title #1 Contender Tournament?
#1 Tag Title Contender Match – Aeroform vs. Eric Ryan & Corey Winters (w/Ernie Ballz)
Louis Lyndon & Flip Kendrick made a big impact in their official PWO debuts recently in singles competition, however this was not the first time we’ve seen them on PWO TV. Earlier this year, in conjunction with CWE, we saw Lyndon & Kendrick, collectively known as Aeroform, compete in tag team action where they successfully pinned Sex Appeal’s Nicki Valentino, one-third of the PWO Tag Team Champions. This feat has earned them an immediate look by PWO management and an opportunity to prove this was not a fluke. Ryan & Winters, meanwhile, have been searching for the missing piece to their puzzle, and believed they had found it in the form of former PWO Tag Team Champion “The Rock Show” Ernie Ballz, the self-proclaimed leader of the Clash tag team. Ballz’ guidance came up short in Ryan & Winters’ singles exploits, but can his tag team expertise take his team to a tag title shot, or will Aeroform flip the script?
“Future of Fashion” Shiima Xion vs. Isaac Montana
Shiima Xion made his PWO in-ring return a week ago, quickly disposing of new Sons of Michigan whipping boy Ben Fruith. The real story was the disgusting nature of Shiima’s post-match activity. The ex-Filipino supermodel went back to his roots, giving fans and photographers a post-match photo op of himself standing over his fallen opponent. However, Shiima took that a step too far, as he took his can of hairspray and sprayed it directly into Fruith’s eyes! It was a disgusting act by Shiima, but clearly a statement made to all of Pro Wrestling Ohio. This week, Shiima takes a step up in competition to battle Isaac Montana, the one healthy member of the Puerto Rican Wrecking Crew. Can Isaac win one for his injured partner and absent Ambassador or will Shiima force him to obey the spray?
