7/22- CWE Neepawa, MB 7/21 Results!

Canadian Wrestling’s Elite debuted in Neepawa, Manitoba last night.
Here are the results!

1) In the opening match CWE Tag Team champion “Hotshot” Danny Duggan
pinned B. Brian Rich.

2) In tag team action the number 1 contenders for the CWE Tag Team
titles “The Face of Country Music” JJ Sanchez & “Big” Cliff Corleone
were victorious over the team of Strip N Dale Matt Fairlane and the
debuting Marty Laboissiere when Cliff pinned Laboissiere following a
big splash.

3) In his first match CWE wrestling academy graduate Tyler Colton was
defeated by a bloody “Pimp Daddy” Rick Matthews after a death valley
driver.

4) Tommy Lee Curtis defeated CWE champion AJ Sanchez by
disqualification after outside interference by Reggie Gallagher.
Sanchez explained just like always he had an insurance policy and this
time it was in the form of the debuting Reggie Gallagher. Danny Duggan
ran off the two men during their attack on Curtis and explained that
Sanchez has been pulling these antics from everywhere from Winnipeg to
Thunder Bay and now to Neepawa and it wasn’t flying tonight. A tag
team contest between the four men was set for the main event.

5) “The Brickhouse” Paul Arcidi came out the victor in a hard hitting
contest with Kevy Chevy after a top rope powerbomb for the pinfall.

6) The team of CWE Tag Team champion “Hotshot” Danny Duggan & Tommy
Lee Curtis scored an amount of revenge when defeating CWE champion AJ
Sanchez & Reggie Gallagher when Duggan pinned Sanchez after a tag team
combination on behalf of himself and Curtis.

CWE returns to action this upcoming Tuesday in Virden, Manitoba. Check

Summer Sizzler Live Events this Fri, July 23 & Sat, July 24, West Paterson NJ:
IWF Heavyweight, American and Tag Team Championships to be Defended!

(WEST PATERSON, NJ)- Independent Wrestling Federation turns up the heat full-blast this month as live events return with Summer Sizzler Weekend this Friday, July 23, 8:00 pm, and Saturday, July 24, 7:30 pm at IWF Centre, 32 Willow Way, West Paterson, NJ. With less talking and more wrestling, you will feel the energy of live IWF action.

Day one July 23 features a spectacular Double Main Event as new IWF Heavyweight Champion Hi-Definition Chris Steeler defends against Latin Lover Chachi. Steeler regained the title last month at Commissioner’s Cup Weekend with a victory over WWE Rookie Fady the Arabian Bull in a Triple Threat Match. Meanwhile, Chachi defeated Travis Blake in a number one contender’s match to earn a shot at the Heavyweight Championship. Will Chachi become the first Central American to capture the top prize in the IWF, or will Steeler embark on another lengthy title reign?

Last month, “Illusion & Allure” Damian Adams and IWF American Champion God’s Gift Aaron Stride with Richard Ross won the 8th Annual Commissioner’s Cup Tag Team Tournament. This month, they will be in singles action against the team they up-ended in the first-round, “Demon & Diamond” as the second Double Main Event features an American Title Match as challenger Kevin Knight looks to dethrone current champion Aaron Stride. And in a singles competition for the first-time-ever, one-on-one, the club-hopping Dangerous Danny E. tangles with mind-bender Damian Adams.

The IWF Tag Team Titles are up for grabs as “The First-Team” Varsity Marc Corino and All-Star Austin Williams challenge the “Imperial Dictatorship” Bruising Bookworm Frank Scoleri and German Menace Kraig Stagg. Scoleri and Stagg are the reigning Tag Team Champions who have held a death-grip on the titles for over nine months. Corino and Williams turned heads last month after defeating Scoleri and Stagg in the Commissioner’s Cup Semifinals, and coming within an eyelash of winning the entire competition. Can “The First Team” make history by becoming the first rookie combination to win the tag team championship?

In a battle of “CenterStage” partners, Stellar Travis Blake meets Juicy Justin Corino with special guest referee Alissa. They are former tag team champions and the 2009 Commissioner’s Cup Tournament winners, but this year they failed to get out of the first-round. With tempers flaring between the duo in recent months, can their valet Alissa keep the peace as she officiates this most important match-up?

There will be a special 2-on-1 Handicap Match, as “Happy Trails” Hush Holiday and Uncle Pat unite to battle the 375-pound mastodon Franciz. Franciz nearly out-weighs both men and is looking to tear through anything and everything that stands in his path on his way to success. Also appearing July 23 are Commissioner Casino, Mad Dawg Jenkins, Jana, and much more to be announced!

Day 2 of Summer Sizzler this Saturday, July 24 features a double main event. There will be an Open Challenge Match for IWF Heavyweight Title featuring Hi-Definition Chris Steeler. But will Steeler walk into Day 2 as IWF Champion, or will there be a new sheriff in town?

The other Double Main Event sees an IWF American Title Match as Latin Lover Chachi challenges champion God’s Gift Aaron Stride. It was Stride who defeated Chachi for the title at Mayhem Weekend, and the Latin Lover looks to walk away from Summer Sizzler as the first man to ever hold both the IWF Heavyweight and American Titles simultaneously.

In a Grudge Match, Kevin Knight tangles with nemesis Damian Adams. Knight holds Adams responsible for his teams’ loss in the Commissioner’s Cup and looks to settle the score once and for all.

Tag team action heats up as “CenterStage” Stellar Travis Blake and Juicy Justin Corino with Alissa wage war with “Lethal Injection” The Mastodon Franciz and Doctor Hurtz. Franciz and Hurtz decided to take their frustrations out on a number of IWF Wrestlers after being eliminated in the Semifinals of the Commissioner’s Cup, including trying to bully Alissa. If Blake and Corino can set aside their differences, they seek revenge against these mad men who are looking to dish out a prescription for pain.

“The First Team” and “Imperial Dictatorship” teams square off in singles bouts as Varsity Marc Corino faces Bruising Bookworm Frank Scoleri; while All-Star Austin Williams wrestles German Menace Kraig Stagg.

There will be a Live “Casa da Gioco” Interview Segment hosted by Commissioner Casino. Who will be the Special Guest to join Commissioner Casino? Also appearing are Mad Dawg Jenkins, Jana, and much more to be announced!

Summer Sizzler contribution is $12 VIP Front Row, and $10 General Admission per event, and advance tickets are on-sale at www.WrestlingIWF.com. Tickets also available at the door 30-minutes before bell-time. Cards subject to change.
