All of the talent scheduled to appear on Friday night will be in action on Saturday. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door on the night of the show.
– “Skullkrusher” Rasche Brown had made a definite impact since debuting in Ring of Honor. The big man from Gary, Indiana has won over crowds with his intense physicality and imposing stature. After being successful in several ROH on HDNet matchups, including a two-on-one handicap win over The Set, Brown is now set to make his New York City debut. ROH officials feel that the time is now for Brown to face a tougher test in ROH, and that test has been signed as part of the “8th Anniversary Show”. February 13th brings the toughest challenge yet for the Skullkrusher as he’ll compete in Four Corner Survival! Opposing him will be “Pretty Boy Pitbull” Kenny King, Delirious, and “That Young Knockout Kid” Chris Hero! Raising the stakes in this encounter is the fact that Pick 6 spots will be on the line! King is currently ranked fourth, while Hero is third going into this weekend. Should Delirious or Brown find themselves able to score the win, they could jump right into the thick of things!
– As the “Big Bang!” rapidly approaches, our working relationship with Ruben Zamora and Masked Republic brings back a man from the world of Lucha Libre that ROH fans got a taste of last year in Houston. The impressive Magno returns to ROH on April 3rd as part of the “Big Bang!” The high-flying luchador promises to bring that Lucha flair to Charlotte and back to ROH! Also signed to appear in Charlotte are Roderick Strong, Mark and Jay Briscoe, El Generico, and ROH World Champion Austin Aries with much more to be announced. Tickets for this big event go on sale February 15th! Don’t miss out; be there live when ROH explodes into Charlotte!
– Just signed for Ring of Honor’s Michigan and Ontario return on March 19 and 20: Chris Hero, Kenny King, “Maple Leaf Muscle” Petey Williams, The House of Truth ? Josh Raymond and Christian Able with Truth Martini, The Super Smash Brothers, and Tyson Dux. We’ll have more names as we move forward!
– “The Professional” Scott Lost and Scorpio Sky certainly did not disappoint in their ROH debuts at WrestleReunion 4, and we’re happy to announce that they will return to action when ROH debuts in Phoenix, Arizona on March 26th and 27th! ROH officials are high on the ability of both men, and look forward to seeing more of them in Ring of Honor. In addition, The Human Tornado has signed to appear on both Phoenix events! After what happened in Los Angeles, there’s no telling what H-Tizzle may have up his sleeve!
– Former ROH World Champion Jerry Lynn returned to action in Los Angeles last weekend, and had Kenny King beat. The venerable Lynn saw red after the fact, going for an added measure of revenge on the “Pretty Boy Pitbull” with the Cradle Piledriver on a chair, but ended up shoving referees and getting his win reversed in the process. Lynn was not happy after the fact, but understood after calming down. “I went too far,” said Lynn. “I stooped to King’s level. And I’m not proud of that, even if it felt good.” We’ll have more as it develops.
– The impressive Kyle O’Reilly will be in action this weekend in Philadelphia. ROH officials are high on O’Reilly and have been going back to his work for NWA ECCW in Vancouver, British Columbia. The future looks bright for O’Reilly as he looks to prove himself in Ring of Honor.
– Sources indicate that El Generico has been quietly coming out of his shell in the last several days. One source stated that Generico “is starting to come to grips with what happened with Steen, and more importantly, why”. This source said he “wouldn’t be surprised if something goes down”. ROH and HDNet converge on Philadelphia Friday and Saturday, be there to see what happens! Tickets are available at www.rohwrestling.com!
