– ROH officials have been facing intense lobbying from two specific ‘Pick 6’ contenders, both vehemently making their World Title cases. Both of these contenders believe they should be granted the next shot at Tyler Black’s ROH World Championship, and ROH officials have gone so far as to seek opinions from the outside on this one. One man will be extremely happy with the decision; the other will be undeniably disappointed. Sources indicate that “it’s safe to say that next two championship challengers are set” and an announcement “either way” is forthcoming. – Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli have been apprised of the statements made by “WGTT” – Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin, and Hero is unimpressed. “Talk is just that,” said the ROH World Tag Team Champion. “Haas and Benjamin haven’t proved anything to anyone in ROH. At ‘Glory By Honor’ they’ll have their chance – and they’ll fail. And when it’s done, they’ll know what we’ve been saying forever: There is none greater on Planet Earth. These Kings…reign…supreme.”
– Speaking of the Kings, Ring of Honor officials have determined that even if Hero and Castagnoli make it to New York still wearing the ROH World Tag Team titles, the titles will not be on the line against WGTT. Sources told ROHWrestling.com, “Shane Hagadorn was vehemently against the idea of the titles being at stake. Of course we have to see what happens in Charlotte at Ultimate Endurance, but it is clear that Hagadorn isn’t taking WGTT as light as the Kings are.”
