CWE Tag Team Champion & ROH star Kenny Omega vs. Kevy Chevy

For the first time ever two of Manitoba’s top wrestlers of the last decade will do battle for the first ever! CWE Tag Team champion Kenny Omega returns from a successful tour of New Japan Pro Wrestling and will be put right back to the test against one of the most violent and aggressive stars to ever step foot in a CWE ring.

Kenny Omega is a 10 year veteran of the sport, with Kevy Chevy not far behind with an impressive 7 years on his resume. In each of their professional wrestling existence both men have a long track record of having some of the most memorable matches to ever take place in the province of Manitoba. Somehow they have never crossed paths, until now!

Kevy Chevy is coming off a very long feud with Mentallo that ended with Chevy unable to beat the Lucha Libre USA star, a mission he focused on for close to a year. Chevy who is miserable on the best of days has been on a violent rampage ever since the loss and has been focused on climbing back to the top of the CWE food chain. Kenny Omega is universally respected as one of the best wrestlers in the world, a win against Omega can put Chevy right back into contention.

Since Omega has debuted in Canadian Wrestling’s Elite nothing but success has followed. Omega is scheduled for a weeks worth of CWE Tag Team Title defenses on the Breaking the Barrier tour and would like to kick off the tour in grand fashion. This is a match that has never happened before and may never happen again. Another reason not to miss Breaking the Barrier in Winnipeg!
