ROH files lawsuit against Ric Flair

PWInsider is reporting that Ring of Honor filed a lawsuit against current TNA star Ric Flair this past Thursday in Bucks County, PA claiming Flair owes the company over $40,000. The lawsuit states Flair failed to live up to his contractual obligations as the “ROH Ambassador” at HDNet TV tapings and various live events and that he was originally signed to make five appearances at ROH house shows for $10,000 an appearance. Flair failed to make an appearance at a July 2009 ROH event in Montreal and, according to ROH, has yet to return his $10,000 payment for that event. The lawsuit further states Flair only attended one ROH HDNet TV taping in Philadelphia, PA after coming to terms with the group to appear as an authority figure. Flair made appearances at one taping and at the next set announced he would be resigning due to his relationship with WWE. ROH paid Flair $35,000 for the TV appearances and ended up making only one appearance for the company.
