RESULTS & ROUND UP : PTW ‘Living Loud’, Saturday 9th October 2010, Houghton Regis Leisure Centre….

* Guest ring announcer, Saint Vio, at the start of the show, made reference to the fact that the following day would be ‘The Most Dangerous Little Girl In Professional Wrestling’, Victoria Staniforth’s 8th birthday. Which, you would think, would make the man in charge of PTW happy. But then he decided to reference the fact that Petey Player had promised him a contact in PTW, and hadn’t signed it yet…and for the first, but in no way the last time, we heard the word ‘Snugglemuffin’, in reference to a running joke/nickname that a furious Petey has been seriously trying to stop people calling him. Petey came out with Drew Hawthorne, the situation degenerated into a fight, which saw Petey bring out his infamous steel Clipboard of Doom for one night only, and nearly take Saint Vio’s head off. When Vio regained some sense of bearings, he hit Petey with two punches that knocked him down, clotheslined Hawthorne, hit Petey with an elbow drop, and then when Petey found his feet; he soon found the floor again after a superkick from Vio. As he struggled to get backstage, Petey screamed that Vio didn’t need a contract at this point, he’s welcome in PTW; just so that he can make his life miserable.

* In a ‘Cruiserweight Chaos’ six man tag team match (that nearly stole the entire show!), Tiger Kid, Colby James, and the extremely impressive Bagheera, defeated Jay Mustang, and The Dunne Brothers (Pete & Damian). This had a sell out crowd on their feet, the entire time, and was one of the greatest matches in PTW’s history. Words cannot do this match justice, and it truly needs to be seen.

* In a PTW 5 Star Title Match, ‘Mr Clean’ Anton Green (c) w/Gabriel Myers, defeated ‘The Essex Boy’ Danny Jonez to retain the belt. After the match, Green & Myers attacked Jonez, which saw Sean Midnight run out to make the save, and through Tracey Kilby, challenged Gabriel Myers to a match later on the show.

* In a PTW World Tag Team Title Match, The Stevens Brothers (Tommy & Danny) w/Drew Hawthorne, kept hold of the titles once more, with a typically tainted victory that saw no respect for the rules on their part; against Evan Sarven and ‘Big’ Tom Baines.

* In a singles match, the very popular Kidd Pride w/Arashi, defeated Heavy D.

* Sean Midnight w/Tracey Kilby, defeated Gabriel Myers w/Anton Green; in a hard hitting affair.

* Mason Storm defeated Marcus Phayer.

* In a PTW World Title Match, ‘Seaside’ Kevin Carter w/TDH defeated PTW World Champion Snare w/Petey Player via disqualification, when the AOV (The Criminal, Genocide, The Myth) ran in and attacked Carter. The entire match, from beginning to end, had seen the very pro-Carter crowd, insanely taunting Petey with chants and catcalls of ‘Snugglemuffin’, and Petey’s temper was literally in shreds. He snapped in the ring, pointing out that he had NOT asked the AOV to get involved in the match, and the AOV stated how they’d come to finish the job they’d been asked to do, in injuring Kevin Carter. Petey said he’d had to get his champion Snare to get it done properly. Tempers dropped at this point, and AOV member, The Criminal, offered Petey a deal involving a title shot on the next PTW show for Genocide, and that if he lost, the AOV would work for Petey for free in future; and would do anything he asked. After a very legitimate comment from Petey about a desire to ‘pay a little personal visit to those backyarders who runs shows in Dunstable and Milton Keynes’, the deal was agreed to, and the massive pair of Genocide and PTW World Champion Snare, were pulled apart, and Snare went to leave the ringside area. Petey smugly leant in the corner, and was literally squashed by a cannonball from the 450lbs plus monster Genocide. As a crushed Petey was slumped in the corner, The Criminal hit him with his running boot to the head that he calls the Drive-By, and then the AOV members literally held Petey’s arms and legs so that Genocide could big splash him. Snare came into the ring to stop the assault, and PTW’s bad guys came from the back to run the AOV off, as the situation had clearly gone way too far. Petey’s girlfriend Hannah was at ringside calling an ambulance, as Petey was carried backstage. And this was the last we saw of him, all night. The official word is that Petey has suffered broken ribs, and that he has called an immediate end to any kind of physical involvement on future shows; by having his (ever busy) solicitor deem it legally impossible for any member of the PTW roster to lay their hands on Petey from now on. We also hear rumours that something extremely big is about to happen to Power Trip Wrestling, and that it will shake the entire landscape of the company.

* And in the ‘Dream Main Event’, ‘Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm defeated James Mason; in another match that has instantly made the list of greatest matches in history.

* PTW are back at ‘The Home of PTW’, Houghton Regis Leisure Centre, on Saturday 13th November 2010, and the main event, and more; have already been signed. Expect a press release in regards to this, and the very big announcement about Power Trip Wrestling’s future; within the next week.

Toys for Tots collection

For the eighth straight year, Roger Artigiani and The (ECW) Arena staff, together with Combat Zone Wrestling will continue their tradition of working together with other local independent wrestling promotions and the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program as both halves of the Super Saturday doubleheader will have Toys for Toys collections at the Arena’s front door for fans attending both shows.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. Over the 63 years of theToys for Tots Program, Marines have distributed more than 400 million toys to more than 188 million needy children. This charitable endeavor has made United States Marines the unchallenged leader in looking after less fortunate children at Christmas

For the last eight years, The ECW Arena, its management, Combat Zone Wrestling, and other area independent wrestling promotions have joined in that effort. This year, Jersey All Pro Wrestling fans will be able to join in that effort and make Super Saturday a truly special day; have a special day of wrestling and help a child have a Christmas.
