Highlights from “Ring of Honor On the Road” (w/Kevin Kelly), courtesy of The Mayhem’s official correspondent, Paterson from New Jersey:

The anticipation level for the Triple Main Event At Final Battle 2010 & which of those three matches he believes will be the most emotional: “I’m looking forward to seeing Papa Briscoe whip Shane Hagendorn’s ass, and I would crawl over broken glass to see The Kings & The Briscoes wrestle. Roddy (Strong) & Davey (Richards) for the World Title…I can’t wait. I don’t want to watch Kevin Steen & (El) Generico. I don’t want to see it, and let me explain why. Their careers in Ring of Honor are coming to an end, because if Steen loses, he’s gone. If Generico loses, he loses his mask, and so in respect, El Generico, the generic luchador, is gone. I get emotional when I start talking about this, because it always scares me when guys get in there. I know it’s going to be a violent match. I think about Kevin Steen having a son at home. They both have families who need them and love them. I don’t think either one is going to be the same after what they do to each other on Saturday night. As a broadcaster & someone who respects them as men & for their talent, it’s gonna be tough for me to sit there and call that action. It’s a very emotional situation for me, because there is so much built into this, and it’s very scary for me.”

How he has been preparing for Kevin Steen vs. El Generico (“The Final Battle At Final Battle”) & why you may not hear much talking during their Fight Without Honor when watching the iPPV on GoFightLive.tv: “There’s sometimes where you prepare heavily, and you have a lot of notes, and there’s a lot of story to tell. Then, there’s matches like this, where really you don’t have to say a whole lot, because the action will speak for itself. I know the history like we all do. We are going to be quiet a lot I think for that one. We are going to be watching. How do you describe it? What do you say?”

“The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels capturing the ROH World Television Championship, whether Eddie Edwards’ shoulder injury played a role in how their match unfolded, & the “extra flavor” that has now been put on Daniels’ collision with Homicide at Final Battle: “The fact that Christopher Daniels was able to unseat Eddie Edwards had nothing to do with Eddie’s shoulder injury going into the match. Did it play a role in how the match unfolded? We’ll let the viewers decide. The word is there was no structural damage, but that does not mean that shoulder is 100%. It’s almost like a Brett Favre situation. Favre had a sprained shoulder, and depending on the severity of the sprain, you could throw a football, or you could wrestle a match, or you could sit it out when you’re 297 in a row. I’m not sure if Eddie was diagnosed with sprain or a severe bruise, but there was no structural damage. We’ll see what happens. I think Christopher Daniels & Homicide now has a little extra flavor put on it. Both of them want to be the ROH World Champion.”
