– Two qualifying matches have been announced for “Survival of the Fittest 2011” on November 18th and you can expect the rest of the qualifying matches to be announced throughout the week. Announced today, “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards will face “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett in a one on one qualifying match and announced yesterday, Rhett Titus will battle Roderick Strong in another singles qualifier. This years “Survival of the Fittest” will consist of 5 different qualifying matches. There will be three singles matches, one 4-Way match, and one tag team contest with 6 of athletes surviving to the finals. Fans in Dayton can also expect a HUGE Champions Challenge when ROH World Champion Davey Richards teams with ROH Television Champion Jay Lethal to face ROH World Tag Team Champions Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. – ROH officials have signed Nick and Matt Jackson, collectively known as the Young Bucks have officially signed for our “Battle in the Carolina’s” weekend on 12/3 and 12/4. On Saturday, December 3rd we will debut at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium (385 N. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303) with a 7:30 PM belltime. On Sunday, December 4th we will present a special matinee event at the Greensboro Coliseum Event Center (1921 W. Lee Street, Greensboro, NC 27403) with a 4:00 pm belltime. – Next week on “Ring of Honor Wrestling” we will introduce “The Proving Ground” when ROH World Tag Team Champions Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin face newcomers Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander. Anytime a ROH champion wrestles a match where the championship is not on the line it will be contested under “The Proving Ground.” In “The Proving Ground” if a challenger beats the champion or lasts the time limit he will get a shot at the championship within approximately 60 days. The matches are 1 Fall with any set time limit given the circumstance. “The Proving Ground” can make or break a career.
