Lots of Ring of Honor news and notes

Wrestleview’s own Jason Namako sent these notes in.

The next 2 matches that have been announced for the Ring of Honor TV Tapings this Saturday at the Du Burns Arena in Baltimore, MD are as follows:

Ring of Honor Television Title, No Time Limit: Jay Lethal(c) vs. “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett w/”Brutal” Bob Evans
“The Pretty Boy Pitbull” Kenny King w/Rhett Titus vs. Matt Jackson w/Nick Jackson
“That Young Knockout Kid” Chris Hero has been added to the January 20th “Homecoming 2012” show in Philadelphia, in what looks to be, unless things change, his final Ring of Honor appearance.

Also, on that same show, 2 members of CHIKARA will be selected to take part in the “Proving Ground” against Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions #DemBoys The Briscoes. According to PWInsider.com, this is the start of an “open door policy” that Ring of Honor wants to do where they bring in unique names to face their champions.

Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions #DemBoys The Briscoes talk about this Saturday’s TV Tapings.

For folks in the Chicago area in the last weekend of April, they will be part of a huge weekend pro wrestling wise. On Friday the 28th, both Ring of Honor and CHIKARA will be running shows that night, going head-to-head. Ring of Honor will be running the Frontier Fieldhouse, while CHIKARA’s venue is TBD. Also that Sunday the 30th, will be the WWE Extreme Rules PPV from the Allstate Arena. So, if you are a fan of pro wrestling in the Chicago area, you have a great weekend to look forward to.
