Ohio Valley Wrestling official Ray Ramsey has announced that Moose who recently defeated Beef Wellington for the OVW Television Title with the help of Tilo and Taryn Shay of Theta Lambda Psi has been stripped of the title after the interference was reviewed by OVW Management. OVW Management has decided to hold an open invitational tournament in order to decide who will take home the OVW television title starting on the Wednesday September 30th Television tapings. It has yet to be decided whether Moose or Tilo will be allowed to participate but several names from OVW’s past have been mentioned as possible participants on top of names such as Kamikaze Kid, Metal Master, and Eye Candy Ali who have all been eying the title as of late. Those names include Johnny Punch, Manbeast Ted “The Trailer” McNaler, and even former OVW man in charge and color commentator AL SNOW. At the most recent set of tapings former OVW Tag Team Champion Succio returned as did former OVW Television Champion and WWE World Tag Team Champion Mike Mondo. This is being added to an already huge week for Ohio Valley Wrestling with former OVW champion Elijah Burke stating he has a big announcement that he will make that night along with Fall Brawl 2009 being headlined by the big No DQ match for the OVW Title between Lowrider and Vic the Bruiser This Sunday, September 27th at the Davis arena.
OVW tapings are held at the Davis Arena, 4400 Shepherdsville Rd. Louisville, Ky 40218. Tickets for Fall Brawl “Lowrider vs Vic the Bruiser” are $10 each, doors open at 7 with an 8pm bell time. This is the last episode before Fall Brawl and the state of OVW has changed dramatically in only a week.
Much like Hog Wild, Smooth Johnny Spade now finds himself without a tag team partner because of Off Da Hook. He asked for a match against the two to get revenge for his partner Shiloh and in order for it to happen OVW assigned him a partner. That man is Randy Royal. Long time OVW fans will remember the smooth one and the Double R suparstars shaky past, will they be able to gel as a team or will Smooth Johnny have more to deal with than Sergio and Demetrius.
The OVW television Title situation has been the talk of OVW fans world wide this week. On this weeks episode more will be released regarding the future of one of the most sought after titles in the industry
Also showing what a fighting champion he is, OVW heavyweight champion Lowrider will defend his title before his big match with Vic The Bruiser at Fall Brall. His opponent this week is “Eye Candy” Ali. This Sunday September 27th at the Davis Arena OVW presents its next super show Fall Brawl. The featured match of the night will be for the OVW World Heavyweight Title as former champion and leader of the OVW originals Vic The Bruiser goes one on one with the Lowrider. Also announced for that show Asher Knight will get his hands on Jamin Olivencia, the Network will defend the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles and maybe we will find out who else has thrown their hat into this weeks OVW Television title Tournament.
