The fastest growing wrestling promotion in the southeast returned to the National Guard Armory in Wilmington, NC for the first time in four months with an action packed show when UPWA rolled into town on June 13th.

In the Main Event, The Nigerian Nightmares continued their path of destruction in the UPWA tag scene, defeating The Sharp Dressed Men and The Southern Gangsters to win the UPWA Tag Team Championships. The two other teams tried to team up to take the bigger duo out but the Nightmares brute strength and surprising agility captured them the titles.

That was not the only title to change hands as The Amazing Velvet defeated RJ Morgan to win the UPWA Carolinas Title.
In other action, UPWA Carolinas Champion The Beast and JC Walker fought to a double count out in a non title match. After the match, LA Tank viciously attacked Beast with a chair and announced he was going after the Carolinas title.
The debuting Roxie Cotton defeated Blak Sheda via pinfall. After the match, she said she was throwing her name into the UPWA Women’s Title Picture

LA Tank defeated Carnage in a Wilmington Street Fight when Beast came out to attack Tank for his earlier attack and accidentally hit Carnage. After the match, Beast tried to make amends but was hit by Carnage.

Cold Cash D defeated K.G.B. in a UPWA Heavyweight Title Tournament First Round Match.

The debuting Corey Kastle defeated Dr. Luv by pinfall. It was a high paced back and forth match until Donald Brower distracted Dr. Luv allowing Kastle to get the victory.

Christopher Shane defeated Evan Craig in a UPWA Heavyweight Title Tournament First Round Match.

UPWA heads to the Shallotte Armory on June 27th with an action packed card followed by the first-ever UPWA show in Myrtle Beach, SC on July 11th. For more information visit www.theupwa.com
