Nic Nemeth defeated David Finlay at the NJPW New Beginning event in Sapporo, Japan to become the new IWGP Global Champion.
Nemeth hit Finlay with a superkick and then followed up with the Danger Zone (Zig Zag), to get the pin. After the match, Nemeth grabbed a mic and made an open challenge for anyone to step up and face him for the championship.

Nemeth is currently signed with TNA Wrestling and is in a feud with Steve Maclin. Nemeth made his surprise debut at the promotion’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view back on January 13.
The 43-year old Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler in WWE, was released by the company last last September.
