Former WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson gave movie goers in Los Angeles over the weekend more than expected when they paid to see his newest movie Rampage inspired by the video game with the same name. Johnson made surprise appearances at two theaters in Los Angeles. He stated on his Instagram:
“As promised I surprised two sold out theaters in LA to show the fans my deep gratitude and love for making RAMPAGE the #1 MOVIE IN THE WORLD (including the US). We had a blast!! Love y’all worldwide and enjoy the fun ride that’s RAMPAGE!”
According to Box Office Mojo, Rampage debuted over the weekend at #1 with 34.5 million in ticket sales.
