Jim Cornette will be color commentator for brand new NWA studio wrestling series

Former NWA, WCW and WWE Manager Jim Cornette announced Thursday in a video posted by the NWA that he will be doing color commentary for the promotion’s new studio series.

The television tapings will take place in Atlanta at the Georgia Public Broadcasting Studios, with the first set to be held on Monday, September 30 and Tuesday, October 1.

Cornette made references to the original NWA studio wrestling series under Turner Broadcasting and noted that at the tapings for the new series there will be “surprises galore, and that studio wrestling is back and that the NWA’s got it.”

Cornette is best known for his appearances as part of the original NWA studios series under Turner Broadcasting as the manager of the Midnight Express Tag Team.

According to a report from F4WOnline, Joe Galli, who was the play-by-play commentator, and alongside Cornette at the NWA’s 70th Anniversary Show last October and the Crockett Cup is said to be the lead commentator and host for the new studio series.

Also, according to the same report, Cornette finished up his commitments with Major League Wrestling this past July.
