Freelance journalist Irving Muchnick has written a book on the Chris Benoit murder suicide titled “CHRIS & NANCY: The True Story of the Benoit Murder-Suicide and Pro Wrestling’s Cocktail of Death”. Though he is not related to New York Times wrestling columnist Phil Muschnick, he has established a relationship with Phil and enlisted Phil to write the foreword to this book.
In a futile attempt at riding the coattails of someone more famous than himself (much like his ill-fated lawsuit against
major publishers for their retainer of rights to his freelance work in their media), Muchnick is currently issuing press releases to wrestling media outlets promoting the fact that he has invited members of the McMahon family and notable members of their WWE staff to a book signing at Borders Book Shop in Stamford, CT.
The McMahon campaign has no official statement on this as it has absolutely nothing to do with their efforts. We have been told that Linda McMahon will absolutely not be attending this event.
Interestingly Triple H, the son of a WWE Board Member and a Democratic candidate for Governor of Connecticut were also invited.
