Bobby Lashley’s contract with Strikeforce has expired and is currently in an exclusive negotiating period with the company preventing him from talking to anyone else in MMA. The deal still allows him to do pro wrestling and he was just overseas in Japan working a show. Once the exclusive period ends he is free to talk with other MMA organizations, although Strikeforce would have the option to match any offers he gets. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted this week that Strikeforce hasn’t show huge interest in signing him to a new deal after his loss to Chad Griggs despite Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker hinting at a possible Lashley vs. former WWE star Dave Batista fight.
