Kayfabe Commentaries: “YouShoot: HTM2”

A REUNION FOR THE HONKY TONK MAN AND YOUSHOOT

Four years ago the public was told they would be able to send in a video or email for the Honky Tonk Man, and they’d collectively be hosting an entire shoot-style interview DVD. Honky was the guest and indeed, the public’s questions were all that was asked in the series premiere of “YouShoot.” And now, after the explosive popularity of the series, Honky Tonk has returned to the show.

The new edition of the series, called “YouShoot: HTM2”, went on sale todat at www.kayfabecommentaries.com. Much has changed, and nothing at all has changed it seems. The fans are still raucous, but there are now so many of them. Honky likes to play around, but now he’s playing a bunch of the infamous “YouShoot games.” He’s a few years older and he may have come to peace with certain aspects of the business, but The Honky Tonk Man’s feathers still ruffle. Just ask him about putting over indy wrestlers on the circuit. Oh wait, you did ask him that.

Kayfabe Commentaries president Sean Oliver describes Honky’s touch as magical. “I called him shoot interview gold, and he is,” Oliver started. “He has been able to make a career of mastering the use of a wrestler’s greatest tool — his mouth. He was the perfect launch for this series years ago, and the template of the ‘YouShoot guest’ has been very much set by our casting him as the first. You gotta be a heat seeker, and you gotta bring it.”

In the newest edition of the series, The Honky Tonk Man deals with contemporary issues like his on again, off again, (currently “off again”) relationship with Hulk Hogan. Also he details his heat with Bubba the Love Sponge, and a disturbing altercation with King Kong Bundy where HTM became furious at Bundy for his attempting to prevent HTM from ripping off some fans at an appearance. Ahh, that HTM.

A new element to the series since HTM’s first appearance are the YouShoot games, and he partakes in quite a few, including “The Ho Bag”, “What’s in the Bag”, and “What a Dick” which have become series staples. “The Mugshot Game” and “Medicine Men” are added for this edition where HTM is asked to rank wrestling’s worst arrest mugshots and also call out the “medicine users” of the business.

It’s all fun and games (not for the kiddies!) and it’s on sale at www.kayfabecommentaries.com.
