At least three people, including one secret bid from a major star in the wrestling business, have bid $75,000 for the original NWA World Heavyweight Championship belt used from 1975-1985 that is being auctioned off by Highspots at this link reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. As reported on earlier, Highspots is auctioning off the belt after Ric Flair gave it to them as collateral for a loan they claim he hasn’t repaid. When a meeting was setup with Flair’s people and Highspots to settle the issue, Flair’s people didn’t show up and they went forward with the auction.
