Chyna's manager Mike Esterman contacted me via phone again and confirmed Chyna did indeed attempt to take her own life. Esterman visited Chyna hours ago and said, "Chyna was in good spirits and grateful for the people who saved her life."
Chyna had been doing well and had been staying sober for the past 10 months but ran out of medication she took for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and did not get her monthly prescription re-filled. She has been without her medication for this disorder for over a month which may have been a big reason why she fell back into depression.
She overdosed on an old bottle of sleeping medication and a half bottle of Gray Goose which she bought on Friday.
Chyna is expected to be held at the hospital for several days and then is expected to check into a private rehab/sanitarium in Texas where she can get specific help for her needs. She is not a typical addict and requires specific treatment.
Mike Esterman will be making an official statement within the next few days regarding Chyna's condition.
All upcoming personal appearances for Chyna including her appearance at the January 31 IGF show have been canceled until further notice. Chyna will require a lot of mental therapy and her number one focus at this time is NOT her career, but her health.
Mike kept the conversation short and went on to add that Chyna would like to thank all of her fans for their support.
